It's not often we can go behind the scenes with the Mercedes-AMG racing team, but we've lucked out with this look at a test session for the beautiful new AMG GT3 at the Fuji Speedway. Revealed a little more than a year ago in Geneva, these are the kind of moments teams live for; when the 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine can let loose on the track ahead of its first official round in the Japanese Super GT next weekend. The AMG GT3 is built around its road-going kin, but with a hefty dose of carbon fiber, a wider body and reshaped doors, and a stripped down cabin with nothing but racing necessities. Until you see it running in the GT500 class, check it out in the video below.
