Since its inception in 1994, Supreme has been deeply rooted in skate culture, but it's always felt limiting to simply call it a skate brand. Considering its products' limited quantities, as well as the slavish devotion it inspires in fans, Supreme has often drawn parallels to luxury fashion labels. So the Louis Vuitton collaboration makes sense in some ways, and perhaps Supreme's debut at LV's Fall/Winter 2017 show in Paris should be viewed not as a coronation but simply as an inevitability.
The pieces that were revealed in Paris include bags, shirts, a skate deck packaged in its own Louis Vuitton trunk, and a Supreme x Louis Vuitton box logo tee. (Supreme has revealed additional collaborative items through its Instagram account, which you can also see below.) The collection will roll out beginning July 17 at Louis Vuitton stores, and possibly at stand-alone pop-up shops as well.
