Concepts will be hosting a Bostonian house party featuring adidas Originals and Hip Hop group House of Pain. The party will feature a DJ, contemporary food and drinks, and a chance to win special edition adidas Originals Celtics-inspired basketball jerseys and St. Patrick’s Day apparel.
In conjunction with the party, Concepts and adidas Originals will be releasing the ‘House of Pain’ Campus 80. The sneaker’s green, gold and white colorway, in a deep suede upper, is inspired by the band’s Irish heritage. The Campus 80 also features House of Pain logos anf iconography. These will be limited to 175 pairs, exclusively available at Concepts. The band will also be onsite for a signing and meet-and-greet for the fans.

Vandal-A‘s selection of t-shirts has a lot to offer to the streetwear community. You may have already seen the already successful Run NYC tee and hoodie on a bunch of celebrities and top-notch sneakerheads. Most of the brand’s current designs are composed of popular basketball references. Some of which include graphics to match recent sneaker releases, such as the Nike 1/2 Cent Hardaways and the Hare Jordans. Vandal-A also has a collaborative t-shirt design with fellow scoundrel streetwear brand, VLNY, featuring imagery and a quote from the movie V for Vendetta. As previously mentioned, the Orchard Street collection for Reebok is now ready to be revealed. Here we have the the Re-Up, which was first seen back in December, and the Pump Omni Hexride. Both shoes have black uppers with bright accent colors to match the apparel in conjunction with this release. The OS crew’s choice of footwear is quite interesting- both styles definitely not the norm for Reebok consumers, but also because each style juxtaposes each other in aesthetics and feel to be in the same collection. Nonetheless, it’s quite refreshing to new styles getting the collab treatment, contrary to the staple Reebok Pumps. Both pairs are now available at Orchard Street.

Back in December we gave you a small sample of Orchard Street‘s designs for Reebok in the form of a Re-Up Lux. As we promised, we’re now providing a detailed look into the apparel part of the collection. Consisting of three tshirts, a pullover hoody, windbreaker, Orchard Street’s concept was to create a genuine old school New York vibe reflecting upon heavy influence of the basketball lifestyle. This is easily observed in the giant branding on some of the apparel as well as basketball imagery seen on the graphic tees, including Dee Brown who wore the Omni Pump Lite, predecessor to the Hexride. Each piece is perfectly colored to fit the scheme of the entire collection, making it easy to match with the footwear. With much anticipation, these items are now available at Orchard Street.

It seems that almost all of the footwear brands are going into their archives to bring back popular styles of yester-year. Reebok keeps up with this trend by releasing the Commitment Mid. Formally introduced in 1989, the Commitment Mid keeps its classic high-top silhouette with smooth leather, forefoot strap and giant branding on the heel’s mudguard. These are now available online and all Reebok retailers like Extra Butter.

Pharrell Williams has been inspiring millions around the world with his music, but also has become a forefront in the fashion industry as an undoubted trend-setter. Now he has been inspired by his own fans. Realizing that many of his followers are creators of music, art and design themselves, the multi-platinum selling producer has helped create an online community on Artst.com. Formally HeyWire, the Artst Guild & Gallery is now a compilation of works for bright minds to network and be amongst like-minded artists. Pharrell explains how the Old Testament influenced the concept of the site, and describes the visual layout and design of the site. He hopes that this center of innovation and artistry will give its members the opportunity to be commissioned for jobs in their respective fields, jump-starting a promising career. Converse releases this Chuck Taylor All Star Hi inspired by one of the greatest bands of all time, The Who. With a traditional canvas upper made up of a Union Jack print, and a signature tongue tag, these Chucks pay tribute to the influential band of the 60′s and 70′s for fusing Rock with Punk and Mod. These are now available at Converse and all Journeys locations.

Last night marked the New York part of PopSoda’s 6th Anniversary Special: Many Many Many Mey- Dynamite Custom Show, hosted by Fig Lab and Brooklyn’s own Mishka. The traveling exhibition features a collection of Many Mey figurines customized by 40 artists from around the world. Within the roster of amazing artists was Mishka’s good friend, L’amour Supreme. Full sized Many Mey blank figurines and finger puppets were on sale in limited quantities. The space doubled up as a pop-up shop for Mishka, revealing new fitteds and snapbacks, as well as tees inspired by the event itself. You can also get a closer glimpse of their Un/steady Adio Hayter Sneaker. Be sure to check out the new merchandise, as well as other good finds as they will present more products within the upcoming days. Don’t sleep, because this event is only here in New York for a short time before departing to Osaka.

As we approach NBA All-Star Weekend, taking place in Phoenix this year, adidas Originals is set to release a pack inspired by the action-packed event. The Attitude Lo pays homage to the 1995 NBA All-Star Game, which was also held in Phoenix. With a mesh and suede upper, the colors and patterns are inspired by the 1995 All-Star Jersey, as well as the native land and desert of the Phoenix environment. These will be limited to 1200 pairs.
The Top Ten Lo’s are created to represent the Eastern and Western conferences of the NBA. Limited to 500 pairs each, these feature leather uppers, perforated stars on the vamp, and embossed detailing of “East” and “West” on the respective heel. Official NBA lace locks and tongue patches will also be expected on these pairs. The colors are inspired by this year’s conference jersey colors, with gradient stripes exactly matching those to be seen on the athletes’ attire.
Look out for these during All-Star Weekend, February 13-15, at all adidas Originals Stores, shopadidas.com, Footlocker, Official NBA Stores and Jam Session.

The Reebok Classic, a staple shoe style for the brand throughout the years, has been graced with a design by Alife. Made of embossed leather, the shoe features the Alife cursive embroidery, commonly seen on Reebok collabs. These also sport the Alife tag on the underside of the tongue. With 2009 bringing the 20th Anniversary of ACG (All Condition Gear), Nike has been releasing vintage models from the collection including the Nike Air Approach and the Nike Air Magma. Above introduces a new hybrid, the ACG Air Pegasus Hiking Boot. As depicted, the shoe obviously combine the silhouette of the Nike Air Pegasus with an ACG hiking sole, along with a Light British Tan suede upper, a popular colorway of past ACG models.
