BAPE mania continues in Taipei as the new BAPE STORE (BAPE’s 3rd store in Taipei, Taiwan) opens its door today, May 19th, at 11 am CST. The queue started the night before and continue the next morning, wrapping around numerous city blocks. Local celebrities stopped by for VIP viewing before the store opened to public. With the signature bapesta conveyor display, the new store spread across 2 floors, the coverage is just a bit smaller than the Hong Kong chapter. REFINERY29 Shops just recently launched an online pop-up shop with BBlessing, a men’s clothing boutique located in New York City’s Lower East Side, started by Sean Shuter and Daniel Jackson (designer from Surface to Air).
Thirteen exclusively selected products include:
“The Beyond” collection of T-shirts y Nicholas Kratochvil, a NY-based artist. Two logo-embossed notebooks and a leather envelope portfolio. The hardcover manuscript is an Italian leather-bound blank notebook with gilt-edge pages. The travel journal has a soft-cover in Italian leather with gilt-edge pages, journal pages, International information pages, 40 pages of maps, and graph paper. There are also two exclusive Surface to Air necklaces and two exclusive Digby & Iona necklaces. The Surface to Air necklaces are a Polished Steel Key Pendant and a Rubber-Dipped Sword Pendant. For Autumn/Winter 07 Evisu Shoos pay tribute to their archive, firmly seeded in Japanese street culture. Evisu Shoos revisit their roots to create a footwear collection comprising of three main stories that are Evisu Shoos unique interpretation of classic sports styles. Classic techniques of Japanese drawing and brushwork have been used along with embroidered paneling.

They work from a teeny shoebox studio and also create hand made plush cuddlies, and ltd edition items such as canvas paintings and pin sets! Salvatore (TVBOY) was born in Palermo on 1980 and moved to Milan when he was a child. He studied illustration at the Fine Arts Faculty of Bilbao (Basque Region) and graduated with a degree in Industrial Design at the Milan Polytechnic, where he worked as a contract assistant in the course of Magazine Design. Currently, he lives in Barcelona, where he works as the art director for a European skate magazine. As he collaborates with big name clients, his main source of inspiration remains the vibrant European street culture. TVBOY, his main character conveys the simple message: “switch off the tv, you’re the protagonist”

TVBOY is a big headed 3 years old child. His best friend is a dog called Nico. He loves eating pizzas, listening to rock music, traveling with his red car or his Vespa and always get into adventures.
Our friend REFILL is organizing the world’s first laser skateboard exhibition.
Seven an exhibition of lasered skateboard art. A world first of its kind Seven allows artists to explore the idea of lasering away at the seven layers of ply to make their mark on the board. A select group of artists globally have contributed their works to explore this new technology. Only 50 will be produced per artist. The aim of the show is to have a series of unique decks that collectors may choose to ride or display. The exhibition will have its first show in Sydney Australia scheduled in early March, to be followed by New York, L.A and scheduled tour of Europe.
