With a few more hours to go before a facebook attempts to revolutionize the Internet again (with a new full-service email launch), it seems as though next week promises everything great to happen in the world. But before we leap into the unknowns of facebook email, and try to deal with facebook’s gradual take over of our social lives as well as inbox, let’s recap all things great and small which happened this week. In New York City, Supreme has finally released its first fresh collaborative shoe (a brand new model) with Nike, and Kid Cudi held an impromptu performance at BAPE Store New York, which would have almost erupted into another riot. Meanwhile, moving uptown, Ralph Lauren closed off a block around its mansion and put on a spectacular light show in celebration of its 10 years in digital experience, and another American great, Levi’s opened up a fresh concept store in the chic nightcrawler’s favorite Meatpacking District. TRON: Legacy continues to command our attention with new trailers and new boots, and last but not least, GQ shared a great insider look at what happened behind the scenes of its recent controversial shoot with the Gleekers.

For GQ’s November issue, something quite controversial happened as the folks at GQ had sex-ed up the Glee cast members, Lea Michele, Dianna Agron and Corey Monteith. Some has deemed the photo shoot shot by Terry Richardson to be overly salacious for a show portraying high school life, but some have stood by the interesting take on Glee. Whether you are in camp righteous or camp enjoyment, GQ has just released a behind the scenes video of the photo shoot, documenting the cast members working with Richardson. Watch Lea rip her shirt open and Corey knock over some drums in this video.

On court, the only thing that matters is winning, and winning is not for the weak. In the latest campaign for Nike5, the special football sneakers designed for indoor and hard courts, Nike had released a new video, “Break Your Opponent”, which features a 19 year-old Brazilian soccer player, Renan, playing on a hard court and dribbling circles around his opponent. Cue speed, dexterity, and a raging attitude.

Gadget protective case maker, Brenthaven, is taking the iPad to protection and beyond! The new 5-in-1 iPad case, as its name suggests, is not just a carrying case. The new case also doubles as a viewing stand, a typing stand, and can be attached to car seats, and also comes with an EZ Grip handle to make reading on a crowded train something breezy easy. The new case is currently available online at Brenthaven.

Sure, we know Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER and Nike had created the Gyakusou International Running Association, but aside from apparel and footwear and runs and meetings, what exactly, is GIRA? What is the spirit behind GIRA. As “Gyakusou” quite literally means “running in the wrong direction”, don’t expect the folks in GIRA to just jog. Cue hand stands, backflips, front flips, food, and chucking nuts at little animals. To see what the GIRA is all about, check out the new “All About GIRA” video by Nike Stadiums after the jump.

It’s a Bakin Foamposite? You’ve got it somewhat right, the latest hybrid from Nike blends two distinctive styles, the Nike ACG Bakin boot with the Foamposite, and this new chimera of a sneaker is quite monstrous. The Nike ACG Bakin boot silhouette is now endowed with the futuristic Foamposite upper, and the resulting Nike ACG Bakin Posite Boot has been released in a fresh “Cranberry” colorway. A mixture of great support, lightweight upper and sleekly rugged aesthetics should strike a cord with sneakerheads who enjoy a good hybrid. Available now at EB.

Not just known for its sturdy and near indestructible work pants, Dickies has also stepped up in the footwear game with a new collection of casual footwear for Spring/Summer 2011. One of the silhouettes from the collection include the Transporter Low, which features a stone-washed canvas upper and comes in three shades that mimic Dickies’ classic work pants colorways– black, wheat and brown. The canvas upper is given a sophisticated touch with matching suede accents, and the casual touch is completed with vulcanized soles. via: FNG
This coming Monday, facebook will be holding an invite-only Web 2.0 Summit, and speculation is that it is related to the upcoming facebook email, set to launch on Monday as well. Nike Air is a shoe? What a blasphemous statement to make for one of sportswear’s greatest invention. If anything, Nike Air is magical, as illustrated by a new psychedelic space-y t-shirt release from Nike Sportswear. With heavenly lights radiating from the classic Nike Air sole window, the new t-shirt proudly proclaims that “Nike Air Is Not A Shoe”. Live the statement and get yours at Aloha Rag. We don’t need to tell you which are the best kicks to wear with this t-shirt…

Don’t be so quick to dismiss this as “just another plaid”, because frankly speaking, those in tune with the Japanese culture, and well, sushi and fish, might get a little bit offended. For the directional and more stylistic Fall/Winter 2010 collection from Onitsuka Tiger, the label had adopted a “Katsuo Plaid Pattern” for apparel and accessories. “Katsuo” refers to the Skipjack tuna, and the plaid pattern had been derived from the stripes found on the underbelly of the fish. The pattern was previously debuted in a teaser created by Savants Collective, and the collection is now available for purchase at select retailers such as The Good Will Out.

New Balance had recently shared some rather treasured images with end clothing– a series of pictures and images that document the New Balance heritage, which began in 1906 selling arch supports to modify and make shoes more comfortable. Some of the images document Eleanor and Paul Kidd (who took over the company from Arthur Hall, a salesman turned business partner of William Riley, the founder of New Balance) at the NB showroom, and some others document the MIT track teams who had adopted the New Balance Trackster for their runs. Check out the full collection of images at endclothing’s flickr after the jump.

Ingenious? Yes. But you really don’t have to go through such great lengths to make using your cellphone and electronic devices while driving safe and legal…and there really is no need to dismantle your grandfather clock to custom affix your iPhone to the steering wheel. In a campaign designed to market the Connectivity Accessories from BMW, the German auto maker had launched a witty and quaintly humorous video that features a few men of ingenuity, but nevertheless, foolhardiness.
