BEAMS DRUG STORE BEAMS Collection

BEAMS is a multifaceted fashion giant in Tokyo, catering predominantly for the casual wear segment. Within their company, they established bpr BEAMS back in 1992 to tackle non-fashion related products. Now, bpr BEAMS is launching an exciting new line dubbed, DRUG STORE . The concept of this line is to create tongue in cheek stationery goods with a medical theme. It’s premiere products revolve around the idea of ‘Grotesque but Cute’, where eyeballs, brain, bones, heart and other medical equipments are transformed into pens, key chains, highlighter markers and stress balls. This line is definitely experimental, however it should find its niche in the diverse Japanese market. All of the products are available at BEAMS stores Japan wide right now. via: Fashionsnap.com

uniform experiment Zirconia Carabiner

The carabiner, a tool through which safety harnesses are fed, was originally designed to prevent rock climbers from falling. The simple carabiner has come a long way, becoming part of the streetwear style. While various brands have produced their take on the humble carabiner, uniform experiment is putting bling into theirs. Twelve pieces of zirconia are set into the side, accenting the otherwise plain silver carabiner. On top of that, there are three individual holes drilled on the base, fitted with three separate key loops. UE and fragment design logos are etched on the side of the clasp, and this Zirconia Carabiner can be found at NOA’S ARK in Japan.

WTAPS B 15A Jacket

Military apparel design has always paid close attention to functionality, and the predecessor of this B-15A jacket was the B-10 jacket. In 1945, the cotton-made B-10 was upgraded by utilizing nylon twill on its exterior, thus the heavy duty flight jacket we see here was born. WTAPS took the rugged flight jacket blue print and implemented modern details, while keeping original details for a convincing military aesthetic. The detachable boa collar was added to the jacket, and it can be removed easily by unbuttoning it at the base of the high collar. This jacket boasts a Made in Japan quality and is available through HAVEN in Canada.
