The Impossible Project   Instant Revolution Exhibition | NYC

The Impossible Project, a company founded by ten former Polaroid employees whose mission is to keep instant film photography alive, has partnered with Polaroid on the “Instant Revolution” exhibition. It’s the first of what will become a series of artistic collaborations throughout the year that celebrates the launch of the Polaroid Classic Line. “Instant Revolution” will showcase the works of five artists — Gary Baseman, James Franco, Maripol, Mary Ellen Mark and Jennifer Juniper Stratford — whose photographs were captured with the last original production run of Polaroid Spectra film from 2008. The show opens February 9th at Space in New York and runs through March 23rd.

Jamie Hewlett x ABSOLUT LONDON Edition Art Bottle

In highlighting London’s colorful past and vibrant culture, vodka distillery ABSOLUT enlisted (of Gorillaz and Tank Girl fame) to condense the city’s vibe onto a limited edition art bottle. Like Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Jean-Michael Basquiat, Louise Bourgeois, and others before him, Hewlett touched-up the bottle with his own signature depiction of London’s past d00 years, first as the backdrop of Dickensian novels, the Dandyism and Savile Row styling at the turn of 1900s, to subsequent raise of hippie, Ska, Punk and 80′s chic in the last century. Celebrating the city’s wealth of tradition and heritage, the ABSOLUT LONDON Edition Art Bottle by Jamie Hewlett will be available through department stores Harvey Nichols and Selfridges on March 1st. In conjunction to the launch, ABSOLUT will be giving away 50 bottles through its Instagram starting tomorrow, February 9th. The Amazing Spider Man   Official Trailer

It might be a re-telling of a well-worn franchise though upcoming summer blockbuster The Amazing Spider-Man will a “first” for the many riding on its success (or failure). For director , it will be his first major film since the indie romance comedy (500) Days of Summer. While both veterans of the film industry, The will still be the first sci-fi action flick for and Emma Stone. Last but not least, it will be a first for the fans too as this re-telling chronicles more on Peter Parker “becoming” Spiderman. Includes Rhys Ifans as The Lizard, Campbell Scott, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, and C. Thomas Howell, The Amazing opens in theaters on July 3rd.

South Park x Marc Jacobs   Protect Your Largest Organ Charity T Shirt

This coming New York Fashion Week, the townies from “South Park” will take the Big by storm thanks to designer Marc Jacobs and brand president Robert Duffy. Featuring Eric Cartman, Randy Marsh and Butters Stotch from the gut-busting animated series “South Park”, each caricature bared it all with the exception of carefully placed message “Protect Your Largest Organ” on a trio of cotton tees. The strip tease is actually to raise awareness on skin cancer (skin is actually the largest organ on your body) and the proceeds from t-shirt sales go to The Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group at New York University. All three are now available for US$ 35 each at retail locations and online store.

Richard Chai x Palladium   Announced Fall 2012 Capsule Collection

In addition to becoming the next creative director for American heritage label Filson, designer Richard Chai will also take a collaborative role in creating a capsule collection with footwear maker Palladium. Fashioned from Pampa Hi and Pampa Tactical, signature editions with roots back when was the supplier for French Foreign Legion. Each appointed with premium fabrics, such as felted wool and corduroy, thus inline with Chai’s “urban nomad” design theme for his Fall/Winter 2012 Collection. Both are set to be available in October 2012 but will be seen on the runway tomorrow, February 9th, as Chai presents his collection for New York Fashion Week.

Takashi Murakami   EGO Exhibition Preview | Doha

We already gave you the heads up on Takashi Murakami’s middle eastern debut entitled EGO, and we’re back now with some preview images from the show in advance of its February 9th opening. Included in the exhibit are a gang of Murakami’s most famous works, among them his twisted imagery inspired by the nuclear generation which runs side by side with his uber-cute characters and burning bright pastel imagery. Billed as a self portrait of sorts, the massive space seeks reflect the mind of Murakami in all of its bizarre imagery and surreal shapes. Jean Michel Basquiat x Reebok   Spring/Summer 2012 Collection

Reebok is continuing the partnership with Jean-Michel Basquiat, unveiling the Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Just as the previous seasons, the majority of the current season is made up of Reebok‘s iconic sneakers, yet some new apparel pieces are introduced to broaden the collection. Footwear range consists of Omni Pump Lite, Freestyle and Top Down, while the apparel line includes outerwear, cardigans and t-shirts. As one would expect, each piece is decorated by the famous drawings and handwriting by Basquiat. CONVERSE Rubber Tracks: Jumpers   Oh Hello & Track of the Week | Video

Converse continues its mission to support independent music. The latest unsigned band to be profiled as part of Converse Rubber Tracks’ short film series is the Brooklyn-based trio Jumpers. In their “Oh, Hello” segment, drummer Tim McCoy, bassist Turner Stough and singer/guitarist Mary Page discuss how the three came together and why it’s great to be a band in a big city with a thriving music scene (they cite a sense of community and the ever-present inspiration to become better musicians). The accompanying “Track of the Week” clip provides a behind the scenes look at the recording of Jumpers’ infectious song “Fireworks.” Check out both videos following the click.

Hasbro   Nerf Lazer Tag   To Use iOS & Augmented Reality For HUD Function

Hasbro‘s Lazer Tag System for 2012 has been updated so you can use your iPhone or iPod Touch to provide heads-up display and increase your firing distance of over 250 feet. The Blaster is equipped with a slot into which you can drop in your iDevice, and once you’ve downloaded the free app, you can use it to monitor your gear and power levels, as well as start and host multiplayer games with up to 23 other players. The app also features a global Lazer Tag leaderboard and keeps track of user profile and stats, plus you’ll be able to unlock rewards like a more powerful virtual blaster. While the system allows for a single player experience with enhanced with augmented reality, the real fun will be to dispatch your friends with extreme prejudice, and use blast trajectory to see exactly where you shot them.
