Marni for H&M – Commercial | Directed By Sofia Coppola

Marni‘s collaboration with H&M doesn’t release until March but a new commercial for the collection, directed by Sofia Coppola, gives viewers a taste of what’s to come. Shot in Marrakesh, Morocco, and set to the dulcet tones of Roxy Music’s “Avalon,” the clip follows British actress Imogen Poots as she traipses around the sun-drenched landscape while showing off pieces from the collection, all of which are dressed in ’s signature bold prints. In an accompanying behind the scenes video, Coppola explains she took on the project because she’d never worked before on a project centered around fashion, and that she admired because the brand has its own distinct look. Check out both videos after the click, and look for the collection to land at select stores starting March 8th.

Graff Diamonds x Beats by Dr. Dre Million Dollars Headphones | Super Bowl Halftime Show

Hidden beneath the hype and hysteria from last night’s Super Bowl Halftime Show was something unique. No, it wasn’t M.I.A.’s inexplicable action when she flipped the bird and lip-synched the F-Bomb during her routine. Nor was it Madonna‘s subdued performance (in comparison to her Blond Ambition World Tour). Instead, it was right underneath everyone’s nose, when SkyBlu of LMFAO stepped onto the stage. Beneath the electro-pop sensation’s wild mane was the most expensive Beats by Dr. Dre headphones to date. Crafted with help from Graff Diamonds, one of the world’s foremost precious gems dealers, Beats by Dr. Dre placed over 114 carats of diamonds on the headphones. Because of the volatility of precious gems and metals pricing, the collaborators could only estimate the total price around “a million dollars,” give or take a few hundred thousand here or there.

ANTENNA Magazine – Ending Publication Immediately

The economic decline over the last few years and instability within the publishing industry have claimed yet another victim today. In an email message this afternoon, Harris Publications announced it will be ending ANTENNA Magazine along with its AntennaMag.com website effective immediately. Though no details were given, it comes as no surprise, given that other publication giants, like Conde Nast, have axed several periodicals in the last few years, such as Gourmet. But all is not doom and gloom. When hip-hop magazine VIBE ended its publication in 2009, the outage period gave time for it to restructure itself. Six months later, the magazine went on circulation again.  Perhaps ANTENNA will have a similar fate as well…

Nike Sportswear Track & Field Collection Spring 2012

An embodiment of Prefontaine, the updated Track & Field Collection from Nike Sportswear is derived from the same “can do” ethos as the late distance runner, along with the likes of Carl Lewis, Flo-Jo, Joan Benoit, and others. If you were to look into the collection’s true origin, you would find Nike Co-Founder Bill Bowerman at the helm. And just as he expected perfection from his athletes, he did the same with their tools of the trade. Hence, the mix of glory, heritage, and technology in each of the collection’s designs. You will find the collection at selected retail locations around the world, such as the Sportswear flagship store.

More than just a partnership, the Brazilian National Football Team and Nike share a common ethos of tenacity on or off the pitch. That bond is also evident in the latest Brasilian National Football Team kits for the 2012-2013 season. adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott – Spring/Summer 2012 Collection Lookbook | Part 2

If there was an ideal term for a general description, it would be rambunctious celebration. Again with a stroke of ostentation and bombast, Jeremy Scott continues his partnership with adidas Originals for Spring/Summer 2012. Unlike some of his past collections, there is actually a cohesiveness to the design theme for this upcoming collection. Cue in on the growing interest on Americana, Scott elaborated on American cultural icons with his signature abandonment of popular perceptions. Who said a cowboy can’t wear a pair of sneakers if he wants to? How about a sequin football jersey for weekend? Or a strait jacket in the colors of Stars and Strips? Rules of political correctness need not apply, outrageous mixed with a dosage of fun dictate each items, from the JS MEGA Softcell Cowboy Boots, the Fringed Track Jacket, to the nearly infamous American Flag Strait Jacket. Nothing is off limits. Then again, isn’t that the reason why fashion is fun?

The by Collection for Spring/Summer 2012 is available now with more additions to come in the following weeks.

David Choe Facebook Shares Value Around $200 Million

If you haven’t yet, mark yesterday on your calendar as the true start of social media dominance. After years of hearsay, Facebook finally filed its S1 registration with the Security & Exchange Commission (SEC).  The filling not only gets that much closer to its IPO on the stock exchange, it also gave people insights to company’s operations, ownerships, among other things. Already profitable, with a revenue of $3.71 billion in 2011, other interesting data bits include its average monthly active users (845 million), likes & comments per day (2.7 billion), and one of its largest income source (game maker Zynga). But the most surprising revelation was graffiti artist David Choe‘s relationship with the company.

According to The New York Times, Choe first got involved back in 2005 when then Facebook President Sean Parker (also of Napster fame) asked the artist to paint murals at its Palo Alto headquarter. When asked whether he wanted cash or stocks for the work, Choe smartly chosen stocks even when he thought Facebook would come to little success. The story is quite different 7 years later and if the initial valuation of the company is correct, at an estimation of $100 billion in market value, ’s shares would be equivalent to $200 million dollars. Thus making him on par with as one of the richest artist alive today and certainly the richest graffiti artist around. But Choe would tell it differently. From his works with Facebook, he also struck up lifelong friendships. In a recent mural painting session, Choe even asked ZUCK ONE, better known as , Founder & CEO of Facebook, to contribute (see video after the jump) via: NYTimes
