ZX 500 Patent
The application of patent leather to the uppers of this ZX Family moves the range into un-chartered territories. Durable, eye-catching and authentic the patent makes these models really stand out.

ZX 700 Camo
Mixing traditional camouflage styles with updated and unique patterns, the Camo Pack brings a new edge to one of the most traditional ranges of athletic products. The repeat pattern here is made from the silhouettes and shapes of the four models in the ZX Family, a brand new camo exclusive to these shoes.

ZX 600 Weave
This pack takes a rugged approach to the upper materials, using a durable and functional weave in place of the original fabrics seen on these models, whilst paying homage to the original shoes in the colourways.

ZX 510
In 1984, there were a number of key technological breakthroughs that changed the world. In the year that saw the launch of the first Apple Macintosh computer, the first CD-ROM and the laser printer, the climate was distinctly scientific. As part of this era, adidas began a program that would run for over five years and live on until the present day, the ZX series – a collection of running shoes designed for runners of all types and abilities.
Over 20 years after their inception, some of the most beloved models from the range are returning in four distinct packs. Each pack has been executed with a simple application concept that has guided the designs: Weave, Animal, Camo and Patent. The sixteen shoes that make up the ZX Family pay homage to the original models while, through their treatments, bringing a distinctive new look to these much-loved shoes.
For the ZX Family the four most beloved models from the hundred series have been recreated with a twist. Four unique packs have been created with different applications that pay tribute to and create a whole new perspective for the ZX family: Weave, Animal, Camo and Patent.

Interview with Sidney Lo

When did you decide you had artistic inclinations above and beyond what is considered to be the “norm”?
I think that decision, or realization, hits you at various points in your career. For myself, the consistent networking that has naturally matured from my projects allowed me to meet and observe other artists involved in this industry. After a while, I guess I considered myself on the same plane as other fellow artists sometimes you don’t recognize you’ve become an artist until you get enough exposure to your peers.
Then again, I’ve always said that anyone can do what I do with the camera. It’s just a picture after all. I don’t think what I do is special at all. I would hate to say I’m special since I see a million Asians with cameras in New York, so I don’t feel particularly remarkable.
What I focus on more, and some would say this is the artistic inclination factoring in, is the relationship between my camera, my subject, and myself. The image becomes secondary, and in a way, I think that energy is channeled into the photograph, making it naturally more visceral and candid.

Twenty Five years, 1040 Air Force 1s, one-night-only! It was tough, I knew I wouldn’t have enough battery life to last me through all the AF1s from the past 2 years. I also knew my trigger finger would hurt at some point. I did my best!
Here are the results…

What good is a party with out a few godfathers of hip hop and a few current kings of hip hop!? KRS-One, Rakim, Kanye West and NAS took turns on stage with a few of their own songs. The four came together toward the end and performed, for one-time-only, a Rick Rubin produced track, to honor the Air Force 1.
