Cole Haan Reflective Wingtips + Penny Loafers

Cole Haan is taking a page from its parent company Nike and introducing a collection of footwear featuring reflective material for a unique look. Each shoe is treated with reflective film composed of microscopic glass beads that carry light reflecting properties, putting a modern twist on the traditional footwear styles. The men’s offerings are made up of the Jayhawker Wingtip, with Goodyear storm welt and thick leather outsole, as well as the genuine hand-sewn Monroe Penny Loafer. For women, there is the Mayliya Wingtip and Air Penny Moc, both featuring leather lining and hand-stained leather outsole and heel. All four styles come in black or silver colorways and are available exclusively at SoHo.

Nike x Cole Haan LunarGrand

It certainly did come as a surprise that Nike would amalgamate some of its proprietary technologies to its subsidiary Cole Haan. The only surprising part is how long it took for the Lunarlon sole to reach the fine footwear label. Brand new for 2012 will be the LunarGrand, a series of classic oxfords with suede upper in brogue styling and a sole entirely in Lunarlon.  The design is understated and just right mix of contemporary and traditional, in other words, just something for every style.  You can see this and more from the latest Sneaker Freaker issue, available now at specialty bookstores near you.

adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott Spring 2012 Footwear Collection | Preview

It’s hard to put a finger on a specific source of inspiration for adidas Original Jeremy Scott‘s Spring 2012 s footwear collection, but that’s exactly the way he likes it: bold and uncommon. The materials – ranging from denim to leather and suede – are as diverse as the looks themselves, which include boots, sandals, sneakers and loafers. The JS Wings, which caught on big last season, are back in a light denim texture as well as a Stars & Stripes edition, but the pieces sure to draw the most attention will be the one-of-a-kind Gorilla and Leopard sneakers, the vented leather sandal and combat boot, and the yellow colorway of the tongue-exaggerated hi-top.

Whether you like them or not, Scott’s Spring Collection definitely lives up to the adidas Originals name. Check out the entire preview after the jump.

New Balance M1500 | Pre Order

When the first New Balance M1500 sneakers were launched, it came with a whole lot of features that justified the very high price point. It just goes to show that New Balance was not willing to sacrifice on quality, even if it meant the end product will be at a premium price. And to this day, the M1500 series is a popular sneaker for runners and sneakerheads. For the next season, New Balance is going back to its roots and keeping a minimalist approach towards the whole sneaker. Both versions are made up of white, black and grey on the nubuck and mesh uppers with a hint of mint and lemon as highlights. Expect these classic sneakers to drop around February 2012 and for those who can not wait until then, end clothing is accepting pre-orders right now on their online store.
