Boston’s CONCEPTS and Sorel are teaming up once again, with the two names taking a walk on the wild side to introduce their latest collaborative project. The CONCEPTS x Sorel Tofino High comes in two styles, one featuring a waxed canvas upper in beige, the other with a brown etched leather upper, and both adorned with a subtle leopard print for a bit of animalistic flair. Additional details include a durable leather shell, red leather laces, faux fur collar and high-traction molded rubber outsole based on the classic 1964 Pac boot. Look for them to drop at CONCEPTS on January 1st, 2012.

The adidas SLVR line is the fashion-forward arm of the German athletic footwear and apparel giant, creating designs that emphasize sleek lines, innovative design and a minimalist aesthetic. The brand’s upcoming Brogue Buckle style forges new terrain by fusing dress shoe elements — as seen in the stitched cap toe, un-padded collar and stacked heel — with a synthetic midfoot and sport tread outsole. The new Nike Dunk NG golf shoe, set to launch in Spring 2012, is a blend of basketball fashion and golf function. The basketball court meets the fairways. No other brand is doing what Nike is by taking a popular and widely-recognizable silhouette and modifying it to perform on the golf course. Keeping the upper intact, Nike added 7 movement-response Scorpion Stinger Spikes on the bottom and integrated a full-length contoured sockliner that conforms to the shape of the foot for a snug and supportive fit. The collection will initially arrive in five colors for men, each of them classic design choices with simple contrasts between the waterproof upper, Nike Swoosh and rubber outsole.

The fragment design x Nike Sportswear Air Magma capably carries on the tradition of unassumingly brilliant collaborative designs between the two names, as well as the technical acumen of the Nike ACG line, as seen in the premium waterproof leather upper, waterproof medial zip detail and speckled rope laces. The minimalist aesthetic makes this Magma style an all purpose shoe for every type of weather condition. Fashionistas in Tokyo will have something to rejoice about come this March. Dover Street Market, the hugely popular retail concept by fashion designer Rei Kawakubo and her advent-garde label COMME des GARÇONS, is finally coming to Tokyo. Surprising, the new store will not be at the expected shopping district along the eastern part of Tokyo, where you have familiar neighborhoods like Shinjuku, Shibuya, Omotesando, Aoyama, and Harajuku. Instead, COMME des GARÇONS will take advantage of the newly revamped Ginza Komatsu Department Store in Ginza on the western side of the city. Taking up approximately 6 floors of the West Wing, the new store be in good company with the world’s largest UNIQLO flagship right next door. And like its mammoth neighbor, Dover Street Market Ginza is also set to open on March 16th, 2012.

The Dr. Martens brand has come a long way since its humble beginning post WW2, but the results of their announced collaboration with Bedwin & The Heartbreakers, dubbed the “Dr. Know“, is a unique spin on the classic boot. Maintaining their distinctive yellow stitching on the outsoles, the upper shines with black patent leather and Bedwin & The Heartbreakers branding on the heel tab. Side zippers are also located on the inside of the boots making it a bit easier to slip them on and off. Already in retailers around the world, including ZOZOTOWN, the boots arrived in a black-on-black colorway as well as a eye-catching black-on-white edition.

Just ahead of its highly anticipated opening, netizens get the opportunity to see (and hear) the story behind UNKNWN courtesy of Creative Control. A retail effort by Samantha Jo Alonso, Chris Julian, both of FRUITION Las Vegas fame, and last and least the man himself, LeBron James, UNKNWN is more than just a retail destination. As told by Julian, the new storefront is essentially a catalyst of “edgy positivity”, an interpretation on fashion, art, design, trends, and more… A way to return to the original intent of consumerism, to own and appreciate something of value. In the meantime, you can visit the new store in person this weekend at Aventura Mall just outside of Miami, Florida.

HAVEN got together with prolific New York-based designer Mark McNairy on a line of footwear made exclusively for the premium Canadian retailer. First up are two different boot styles in similar silhouettes. One’s refined while the other is informed with a workwear aesthetic, though both are benefited by the same impeccable pedigree, having been manufactured in Northamptonshire, England, by famed shoe cobbler Sanders & Sanders. The Country Brogue Boot in deep navy leather features Goodyear storm welt on a Vibram Morflex sole, with waxed leather laces and black heel pull rounding out the details on the lightweight model. The Dirty Buck Cap Toe Boot is constructed with traditional dirty buck suede and carries similar Goodyear welted Vibram sole, but has silver eyelets with round hiker laces for a utilitarian look and feel.
