Londons New Double Decker Buses Unveiled | Video

Certainly, there are many cities in the world that have double decker buses, especially those that were a part of the great British Empire like Singapore and Hong Kong. But, the red double decker bus is quite a British icon, and the classic transport gets a facelift today as a new double-decker was unveiled at the London Transport Museum by Brois Johnson, the Mayor of London.

The new double-decker is updated to a 21st century relevance without losing the original Routemaster touch and charm. The new bus is manufactured by Wrightbus, and features an open platform in the back which marks the return of the classic “hop-on-hop-off” service.

Facebook Will Be Launching Email On MondayThis coming Monday, facebook will be holding an invite-only Web 2.0 Summit, and speculation is that it is related to the upcoming email, set to launch on Monday as well. According to Business Insider and the folks from ZDNet, will be offering a full-fledged email service to its users, thus allowing for users to not just communicate with fellow users, but also link up with the outside world as well.

New Balance x end clothing   A Heritage of New Balance

New Balance had recently shared some rather treasured images with end clothing– a series of pictures and images that document the heritage, which began in 1906 selling arch supports to modify and make shoes more comfortable. Some of the images document Eleanor and Paul Kidd (who took over the company from Arthur Hall, a salesman turned business partner of William Riley, the founder of ) at the NB showroom, and some others document the MIT track teams who had adopted the Trackster for their runs. Bootleg KAWS Passing Through Sculpture

Yesterday, images of a miniature “Passing Through” Companion sculpture, logging in at ten inches surfaced online. The said model was believed to be a probably make of the original over-sized “Passing Through” sculpture that was displayed at Hong Kong’s Harbour City for KAWS“Passing Through” exhibition not too long ago. While many were speculating the authenticity and wondering about the possible release date of this miniature, desk-friendly number, had posted on his blog that this blacked-out, dwarf version is a bootleg. No, its not the inner working of the search engine giant, though that would make a fascinating story, but its the company’s celebration of x-ray discovery, found and replicated by German physicist Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen on this day in 1895. He later won the 1901 Nobel Prize in Physics. Who says science can’t be cool?
