
Granted, skateboarding is not exactly a century-old tradition, but it did have a hefty history behind it, with a substantial crew of pushers to behind the movement, culture and lifestyle. This season, Made For Skate, an embodiment of all things skate is out with an updated edition its anthology of skate shoes through the ages with extra 66 new shoes, and is now in a lighter, more portable paperback edition. To go along with the new publication, Made For Skate has also released news on its collaboration with element and Mike V. The never-before-released skate shoe is based on the “Sequoia”, Mike V’s third pro-model shoe silhouette, and is a tribute to Mike V’s part in Powell Peralta’s 1988 video, “Public Domain”. It is not the first time that the wingtip pattern has been used on Vans sneakers. However, the latest Era Wingtip CA is available in a wide range of colors that would appeal to many. These are a part of the Fall/Winter 2010 California Collection and uses suede material on the uppers accented with white eyelets and leather shoe laces. The low cut sneaker still possess the classic Vans Off The Wall patch on the heel as well as Vans woven tag on the outer side of each shoe. Skateboarding magazine Thrasher was established in 1981 in San Francisco by Edward Riggins. The magazine had a simple premise of delivering pure skateboarding without any none sense. Until this day, the magazine has stood proud on news stands and in skate shops around the world influencing many skateboarders. Since its inception, Thrasher has become a brand synonymous with hardcore skateboarding and its appeal is gaining momentum. Rumored to be a part of the Nike SB Fall 2010 Collection, here is a look at an upcoming Nike SB Dunk High that comes in a simple all over Denim upper. Various brands have used denim on sneakers before but outside of the Nike SB x RESN “Gucci” Dunk, denim has seldom been used on a Nike SB Dunk High, that is until now. This new Nike SB Dunk High features an Indigo colored denim on the upper of the shoe while the midsole of the shoe is kept in a White colorway with the laces, tongue, and outsole of the shoe being colored in Black. One of the modern classic sneaker model from Reebok is the Insta Pump Fury, and it was one of the most technically advanced product when it was released. Reebok looks to make that same innovation with the latest Pump Fury Superlite models. It has shed more weight than its predecessor and features large ventilation holes all over the upper. There are two colorways available, the OG neon colorway and silver. Expect these models to drop soon at your local Reebok stockists or check back with Japanese retailer Styles as they will be getting them in soon.

American brand, Saucony, is best known for it’s running shoes however the brand has just released a new collection of it’s Hangtime basketball shoe that was originally released back in 1987 under Spot-Bilt, a sub-division of Saucony at the time. This new Retro Hangtime Collection offers the Hangtime in it’s original high cut silhouette in four different colors all using a soft suede material on the upper. Originally released in 1982, the Air Force 1 is the epitome of a classic sneaker and over this past weekend Nike Sportswear released a new colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 High at select retailers. This new AF1 High is composed of a classic White, Black, and Sport Red colorway with White and Black being used for the majority of the shoe while certain areas are hit with Sport Red. Pick up this pair and more Nike Sportswear releases at Proper and other select Nike Sportswear retailers.

Moving ahead for a moment towards the end of this month, Nike and its Nike Sportswear division will release the Climbers Pack, a collection of trio (Air Footscape Motion, Lunar Elite Trail Mid, and Air Moc) inspired by leisure day hike and autumn foliage viewing trip during the season transition. Announced first would be the Air Footscape Motion, reworked to incorporate outdoor feature found on Nike ACG line of products like the red/blue braided nylon cord laces. When the Nike iD Bespoke program arrived at Nike Harajuku flagship, sneaker fiends from all over Japan trying their hands at securing the coveted reservation for a design session. And though the program is no longer available, its “legacies” remain as the end products begin to arrive in store for delivery to their respective designers/owners.
After several wildly designed creations, the Harajuku staff unveiled the 10th design, a simple fare of premium selvedge denim. As indicated by the material, this Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke designer came to his or her session with a design in mind – to replicate a pair of denim in the form of a Nike Air Force 1. Featured stitch work in contrast yellow colorway and a brass lace eyelet, the heel tab finished in leather with measurement “W30 L34″ embroidered on, like those found on denim leather tab.

It’s hard to believe that it was ten years ago that Nike and size? teamed up to deliver a sneaker collector book, Sole Provider. And on the 30th birthday of Nike, the golden team have gotten together again to work on the special edition Sole Provider chronicling the 30 years of Nike history, heritage and best of all, sneakers. Inside the book, you will find photos, behind the scenes footages, facts and interviews with big players in the game to satisfy any Nike head’s appetite. Though some of its images leaked out earlier, they still couldn’t do this Air Jordan II justice. Aim for a launch date of October 23rd, the Air Jordan II Black-White features application of different leather forms, from suede to patent leather overlay with reptilian patterns. Minimal in branding, the upper is all-black with an added touch of white accents along the outlines of the silhouette. Comes in all sizes, be on the look out for them at Jordan retailers next month.

Despite of popular trends proclaiming the streamlined style in all things related to sneaker designs. The development team at adidas Originals gone the opposite direction instead with the introduction of Hardland and Roundhouse, two new models with appliques and overlays. Like Babes in Toyland, designers went to town with the Roundhouse in Noble Ink/Infinity Colorways, adding neon green accents and bright blue tones. But the fun was not limited to only colorways. The multiple overlays meant application of all types of materials – mesh, lattice-work patterned aft-strap, perforated leather, suede, and more.
