adidas Originals x VANQUISH Fall/Winter 2010 Collection | Detailed Look

Yesterday we brought u a quick overall look at the new collaborative collection by adidas Originals and Japan’s VANQUISH. Today, we have more detailed shots of the capsule collection. After all, tough, blacked-out collection like this deserves some zooming in for all to really appreciate the details. As mentioned before, the collection comprises of three footwear styles, which includes ’s interpretation of the Hardland. They have been sharpened to give an opulent edgy vibe in gold and silver with reptilian printed leather. Also, a exclusive colorway shows a mix of black leather with fuzzy silver accents and crystal studs for a rock disco look. The Trefoil logo hoodies and t-shirts are studded and patched in leather, and the classic track jacket has also been given a rugged leathery treatment. Sporty and tough? Apparently a viable combination that can be wonderfully executed. via: ceno-ceo

World Basketball Festival Display | NikeTown New York

“You know you succeed if the most jaded New Yorkers are looking at your advertisement” And though we aren’t sure how authentic the origin of this old saying is in the advertising/marketing field, it definitely holds true, however, in one form or another.  So how do you get the most jaded New Yorkers’ attention?

In promotion for this week’s inauguration of the first ever World Basketball Festival, coordinated the momentous task in converting several key retail locations in New York City to the theme of the festival.  This included NikeTown of New York, the flagship store of Nike.  In keeping with original premise of the store as a faux basketball arena, Nike retail space designers re-imagined NikeTown to be an actual basketball arena.  From its atrium on the ground level to the very top, each corners filled with WBF accessories, apparels, footwear, and more.  There is another dynamic aspect to this conversion, the larger-than-life size animated figures of Anderson Varejão (Brazil), José Barea (Puerto Rico), Yi Jianlian (China), Kevin Durant (USA) and others scaling across the atrium as though a bona fide Clash of the Titans was taking place.  To see this dramatic installation in person or to purchase any WBF-themed products, simply visit NikeTown New York on 57th Street.
