Nike Spring-Summer 05 Part 1
Nike Air Zoom Trainer First Take

It’s the stuff of Nike legend. Back in the 1980s, Tinker Hatfield, Nike’s senior design guru, was working out in a gym when he noticed that people trained by participating in many different athletic activities. They shot hoops, lifted weights, played racquetball, then took an aerobics class. More importantly, they were wearing the same shoes for each activity, even if it was made for a specific sport. Then and there, Hatfield conceived of the idea of the cross-training shoe—a single shoe designed to meet the needs of many different workouts and activities.
