Makoto Yamaki a.K.A. MAKO

Mako was born in Tokyo, Japan and started his graffiti career in Vancouver and New York. After returning to Japan, MAKO established his own style and concept based on the Japanese idea of harmony, "Wa." He is currently known as one of the top painters representing the graffiti culture in Japan. Motifs which often appear in his works are Tigers and Flowers. Most recently he collaborated with Futura for North Face in Dec. 2004 in Daikanyama, Tokyo.
