Downtown Manhattan creative collective, ALIFE, and London based hatmaker,
KANGOL, have spent the last year collaborating on ‘IL PADRINO’,
a classic, black, fur felt fedora box set, packaged with an accessory pack
of hatpins and feathers, which can be interchanged and added to the hat according
to an outfit or mood of the wearer.
Directed by ALIFE, ‘IL PADRINO’ is
the result of an on going relationship with KANGOL. After being asked by
KANGOL to represent the year 1983 (one of 3 eras that are milestones in their
history: 1938, 1983, Present) in the summer of 2004, with a light-weight
fedora fit for a ‘soldier’, ALIFE upped the ante this time by
using premium materials and precious metals & stones, to create a lux
package fit for ‘the godfather’. |
