This summer is the big materials summer. With Nike trying every from hemp to carpet. Though a little strange, it's nice to see a different material sneakers. For those who say why, there's already 20 million different color combinations, seeing a new material used is always nice. The latest sneaker from the company who brought you the Stash Air Force I High, Stash Dunk, Artist Series Stash Air Classic BW, now we have Recon Air Force X mid. Features the Recon camo on a mesh toe box and side panel. An unseen feature is the steel toe. The details are incredible as we've come to know of products coming from Recon.
It's interesting to see the large gauge mesh on a sneaker. There is some material below the mesh so it's not open. It would be an airy and interesting shoe if it is open. We've also seen a Dunk Hi that's part of this pack. The Air Max 90 colorway is a little nicer than the Air Max 1. The Air Max 1 goes nicely with the AF1 we post on the 18th. (Photography by Billy)
We saw hints of the Air Force I Mid SC (Supreme Court) some time back and was really excited about it, especially because of the mesh on the toe box. The green, light gray and yellow is just an elegant color combination. The SC, I think, is a Euro exclusive, correct me if I am wrong. Also exciting is this upcoming suede and leather Air Force 1 low. The combination of suede and leather works very nicely together. Lets hope more suede/leather colorways make it on to the market. Also recently released in Europe and Canada the Euro Air Force 1, One Pack. Not too sure if the Air Force II is part of the One Pack. The colorway matches up but does not have the One logo on it. (Photography by Billy)
This coming June the very good people at HUF in San Francisco are releasing their very own Air Max 1 (our favorite sneaker). The first picture with the HUF logo and SF skyline stitched to the heel will be staff only and only 24 pairs will be produced for HUFs staff. The second pictured HUF AM1 will be a QS hitting some of your favorite boutiques this coming June. (Thanks to Mr. Huf for sending in the photos.)
SBTG's latest project for Guerrilla. SG's finest Drum 'N Bass crew. Four prototypes were produced one each for Kiat, Ash, Has and SBTG. (Watch out, SBTG's fine work will be back here on the East Coast very very soon...)
This is the summer of the Pack! There are a lot of packs, a lot of very nice ones I might add. There's Orca pack that's out, Hemp pack from SB and Hemp max pack, skin pack, navigation pack, etc, etc. One of our favorites is the baseball pack especially because of the detailing. The 3 sneaker pack will include, the Vandal, Air Force 1 and Terminator. Look for it to drop very soon.
