Billy our Vancouver contributor just came back from holiday and brought back some surprises. Both are exclusive to Japan. He mentions that Reebok has been using snakeskin or snakeskin patterns in a lot of their limited editions. It will be interesting to see if any of these design elements will ever make it to and out of the US rbk offices.
First up is the Reebok LX8500 JPE Edition.
Reebok Omni Lite Revolver (Pump) - This colorway of the Reebok Omni Lite Revolver is a crossover with Japanese street brand Revolver.
The Adidas Dragonlady pack includes the classic Superstar shelltoe, fleetwood and maybe the concord. There are several colors to the snakeskin which is a little strange, I am sure there are blue snakes but blue snakeskin is a little unnatural. See some of the other colorways at Foot Patrol.
Not totally sure if the Concord is part of the Dragronlady pack. It dropped around the same time as the rest of the pack. The snakeskin all over is a little strange, leaving no breathing room.
"The" Snakeskin Air Force 1 is a little hard to find, especially a real pair. The current Air Force 1 Snake is still a little hard to find, though no fakes has appeared yet. I do prefer the current brown colorway. Dropped late August.
The Holland Dunk and Portugal Dunk was recently released in Europe, then in Asia and most recently in the US as a quickstrike. Both dunks features leather upper and a nylon like side panel. Both are colored in their Country's national soccer team colors.
We first released the photos to the Staple Tattoo and Navigation Packs in a sneak preview back in February. The Staple Laser OG Cortez has dropped in and around certain parts of of the world. The Tattoo pack includes the Air Rift and the OG Cortez. The Navigation Pack includes the Air Max 90, Shox NZ, and yet to be released Air Burst in mens and womens colors.
Here's a bit on the inspiration of the Tattoo Pack. The Laser Air Rift and Cortez are inspired by traditional Japanese tattoo techniques. The Laser technology works perfectly to mimic the fine needle point of a tattoo artist’s tool. On the Air Rift you can see a design that resembles the classic Asian dragon tattoos. We've seen the European/Canada exclusive Air Force 1 with the "1" before. I guess it's their way of paying respect to the "Ones". Similar to the Recent "Ones" pack here in the US. (including the Air Max 1, Trainer 1, AF1). The current "1" is a nice, almost, white on white with a blue outsole and a suede swoosh. The swoosh has a croc-skin pattern on them. Not too noticeable though. Pretty nice combination nonetheless. (Photography by Billy)
With the olympics starting this past Friday we thought we'd show you a few of the products from the product line. Some are from the Summer Olympic games and some are summer 2004 products. Products include the new Air Zoom Miler, Zoom Marathoner, Monsterfly (shown below)
August 12 | Air Force II Bulls colorway euro exclusive
We first saw these on Dave White's feet when he came to do the mural at Packer Shoes in NJ. The colorway is pretty hot with plain red, white and black, nothing special but classic. Billy, our photo contributor coined it the Bulls colorway. This is a Euro exclusive. We hear Dave will be back this coming Sept. Watch out. (Photography: Billy)
The Disc Blaze from 1993 is making a come back this summer. They are “dangerously” limited. For all you Puma heads, there will only be 500 pairs available. We assume per colorway. The current reissue is in its original format with the Disc closure system and Trinomic shock absorption. The following colorways will be available snorkel blue, green flash, sulphur yellow, conch shell pink and ceramic green. Most colorways should be in stores now. We last saw them at the Alife Rivington Club.
The first Air Mowabb was released back in 1991. A recent taste was issued with the Mowabb inspired pack including the Air Safari 87, Dunk, Air Max 95, and Air Escape (check April 2004 Sneaker Updates for some pictures on that pack). Upcoming is the ACG Air Mowabb and the Terminator in similar colors but just not as sick as the OG Air Mowabb. So sick we took a ton of pictures of them. Check them.
