Position Overview
Under the direction of the editorial team, a Part Time Editor / Blogger oversees the day-to-day digital contents up on Freshness.
General Responsibilities
- Writing on given assignments via a timely fashion
- Fact checking with available resources
- Finding stories of interest. Must be a fit to Freshness core contents
Skills and Experiences
- Self starter who is detail oriented and resourceful
- Must have a prior knowledge on subject matters covered by Freshness, be it sneakers, art & design, men’s fashion, and others
- A good grasp of the English language
- Be factual and concise
- Good writing skills, we are not the NY Times, but you should have college level writing skills and be able to write up articles on any sneaker in a neutral voice.
- Photoshop knowledge (or similar photo editing program). You will need to edit photos on a daily basis.
- Good knowledge of web based utilities, Google search, RSS, Twitter, Facebook, etc
- Knowledge of wordpress and blogging
Pluses but not required:
- A good eye for design and photo selection
- Have worked in a sneaker store or in the sneaker industry
- English or Journalism Major / College Degree are highly recommended
