Nike Cortze Nylon was not only a classic among Nike‘s historical archive, it was the first ever sneaker produced by the company. Created in 1972, with the now iconic “Swoosh” marking on its side. But the Cortze Nylon also marked an even more important trait of Nike – the strive for technical breakthroughs in athletic gears, no matter what the sport might be. Under the late Bill Bowerman’s guidance, a nylon upper was used instead of the traditional all leather construction. A revolutionary move that not only lessen the weight of the Cortez, but made it more durable as well. As part of the Nike Vintage collection, the Cortze Nylon in its original form is once again available.

Part of the Carhartt Europe‘s streetwear collection for Spring/Summer 2008. The Vert Jacket is a simple, light-weight jacket made from 100% polyester. It consist of stand-up collar with a stow away hood. The unique portion of this jacket is the unique print, which is anything but simple. The repetitive pattern is a modern take of the meander, a design that traced back to the time of ancient Greece. But whether it was then or now, the pattern still makes a bold statement. Currently available at Overkill Shop in Berlin.

Published on honeyee.com over the weekend was the first official look book from uniform experiment, the new label from Hirofumi Kiyonaga (SOPH., SOPHNET. & F.C.R.B.) and Hiroshi Fujiwara (fragment design). A clear departure from the more familiar urban/street fashion look, uniform experiment focus on customer demographics such as young professionals, who look for clothing that can double as their work apparels. Yet, there are hints of street wear’s functionalities – Swarovski crystals studded carabingers, key loop, and etc… The refinements on uniform experiment are subtle yet abundant in some senses. One such is the Silk Linen 3-Button Jacket with its functional sleeve buttons, a feature rarely found in most ready-to-wear sports jacket because of the high manufacturing cost. The debut collection is currently available at all SOPH. locations, selective high-end boutiques across Japan. You can also find uniform experiment at Dover Street Market (U.K.), Slam Jam (Italy), and I.T. (H.K.).
