Nike’s luxury sub-brand, Nike White Label, created several very unique products for its Nike Athletic Department (AD) collection. In addition to the cashmere blend hoodie mentioned earlier, this silk blend Windrunner jacket is a perfect mix of luxury and functionalism. The natural silk in the fabric blend gives the Windrunner a soft, lighter-then-air feel. Meanwhile, the synthetic materials give the jacket resiliency. The interior is unfinished, however, all seams and joints are reinforced with double stitching and taped with silk seam tapes. Available currently at selected Nike retailers, such as Caliroots of Sweden.

As a continuation of the popular Materials of the World series, adidas Orignals‘ Flavours of the World (FOTW) centered on cultural essences of key geographical regions around the globe. For the month of April, Flavours of the World created the Qing Ming Festival Superstar Vin, in honor of the Chinese festival, Qing Ming (aka Qingming, Ching Ming). Take place annually around April 5th, Qing Ming Festival (清明節) is a day of remembrance and honor for one’s ancestors, an all important doctrine within Confucianism. Family members gathered around the burial grounds of their ancestors on the day with their offerings and prayers. Unwanted vegetation and debris are cleared from the burial grounds. Hence the moniker as the “Tomb Sweeping Day”. Since the burial grounds can be quite expansive, family members of multiple generations would assist in the clean up, making Qing Ming Festival a day of impromptu family reunion.
For the FOTW of April, adidas Originals selected the Superstar 1 as the base. A light orange textile upper was applied on the aft of the sneaker, highlighted with fine floral embroidery. Fine leather in bright orange and deep red, both considered to colors of good fortune, covered the front half the footwear. The package includes a detail decorated box with identical motifs. Available in limited number and on sale currently at selected adidas dealers, including Overkill of Berlin.

When it comes to the execution of a design, specially those of organic nature, the folks at Hawaii’s Sig Zane are as best as they come. According to KICKS/HI, the complex design on the new “Green Wave” 5-panel cap was made, not with fancy software, but 100% hand craft. The master copy was first sketched onto Rubylith tape. Then each section was cut to perfection before printing. To further along the quality and design, they selected the best fabric, green with a hint of iridescent glow, to highlight the special design. Comes with adjustable band. Both the Green Wave 5-Panel cap and the new Olakoa’ka New Era 59FIFTY fitted cap will be available at both retail locations of Kicks Hawaii (KICKS/HI) this Saturday, April 5th.

KANGOL was established in 1938 and quickly became the leading beret manufacturer in the world. Its unique name rumored to originated as acronyms derived from fabrics the company used in its headwears. Since last year, the British label collaborated with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design on several well received projects. The most recent result of this collaboration is the Fragment 504 beret. Based on the classic KANGOL 504 model, which first appeared in 1954. A special weave pattern was applied to permit breathability in the warmer climate of Spring/Summer. Logos of both brands are embroidered on each. Available in 8 different color schemes.
Available exclusively at KANGOL’s flagship in Harajuku and honeyee.com’s online retail point, hnyee.Store. And because of the expected high-volume of demand, hnyee.Store will only offer the gear on a sign-up basis.
