In the meantime, hundreds of friends and families, including Alyasha Owerka-Moore (FiberOps) and Fraser Cooke () mingled along with celebrities of Hong Kong’s night scene in the celebration.  Gourmet Spring 08

Gourmet was introduced to sneakerheads last year around the US, and although some feel that it is a blatant slap to the face to Jordan’s, a lot of sneakerheads have picked up on these canvas and gum sole “Jordan-esque” shoes that give a bit of a casual look to a number of popular Jordan silhouettes. Love them or hate them, is back with their Spring collection featuring two new models that draw inspiration from the XII and XIII. adidas Originals Jam Master Jay Pack

adidas Originals continues its homage to music with the release of adidas Superstar 1 – Jam Pack, in honor of the late DJ of Run-DMC, Jam Master Jay. Based on the original Superstar and composed of black patent leather. A silhouette of the Jam Master Jay, in the familiar of outfit and fedora, is embroidered in contrasting white stitching. Instead of a solid color, adidas altered its signature 3 stripes into transparent plastic ones, so they would not distort the embroidery. The word JAM, along with the inscription “Justice, Arts, Music” are also embroidered along the sneaker.

Aside from the Superstar 1, the Jam Master Jay Pack comprised a collection of apparels – a short sleeve polo shirt in black with red raglan sleeves , a full zip track jacket with horizontal black, red and white stripes, and a t-shirt with identical silhouette of Jam Master Jay printed on the lower back.

The entire collection is now available at Berlin’s Overkill Shop.

Air Jordan Retro 1 White/Black Silver Opening Day Pack

Air Jordan Retro 1 White/Black Silver Opening Day Pack

During the month of October in 1993, Michael Jordan did the unthinkable. At the height of his career, after leading Chicago Bulls to its consecutive NBA Championship title and winning 3 consecutive NBA Finals MVP himself, the first player in NBA history to do so, Jordan announced his retirement from the sport that everyone identified him with. The following Spring, Jordan joined the minor league team for the Chicago White Sox franchise. The suddenness to his early retirement from basketball and transformation to a baseball player was mainly attributed to the death of his father, who was murdered during a botched robbery in 1993. To honor his father’s desire before his passing, Jordan played baseball for the duration of 1994.

To mark the opening day of MLB season this year. released a limited edition Air Jordan 1 Retro, in the familiar pin-stripe designs as the Chicago White Sox. Baseball inspired designs are found all over the upper. Near the rear tab, a cross-bats embroidery with the number 3 and 51, represented Jordan’s stats of 3 HRs and 51 RBIs during short baseball career. (He returned to the court in 1995)

The 1 Retro, or more commonly called Jordan Opening Day Pack is currently available at .com.
