Did Jeff Staple get his hands on a pair of Nike Air Max 90′s? That’s not what’s going on here, but nonetheless it’s hard to take a look at this pair and not be reminded of his classic ‘Pigeon’ design for that most sought after of Nike SB Dunks. Mixing a two tone grey blocking on the upper with hits of white and shadow red make for a pair that’s toned down a few notches in comparison to recent releases, but still manages to stand out thanks to the iconic colorway. Also notable is the unique material found on the white sectioning on the upper, a sort of gridded nylon in place of the traditional mesh. Check out the full shots we’ve got for you and pick these up now from JD Sports across the pond.

The Dave White x Air Jordan 1 project is certainly set to be a polarizing one, with a love/hate spectrum in place based on your general ideas about the sanctity of preserving the original design in collaborations like these. For those who can appreciate the Frankstein-style amalgam of Jordan brand design elements, this is no doubt one of the most anticipated releases for the young year of 2012, with their February 11th due date right around the corner. In advance of that we’ve got some detailed shots of the sneakers courtesy of Nike Harajuku, who will sell off their stock via raffle come Saturday. Also keep in mind that sneakers will pop up at Nikestore online, so that might be your best bet if you aren’t within range of a premium Jordan Brand retailer.

You may not be able to tell yet depending on the weather of your particular locale, but believe it or not spring is indeed on its way. With that of course comes the thawing out of sneaker styles, as the tough winterized designs and earthy tones get tucked away in favor of some brighter designs. In that vein comes the Nike Blazer Mid PRM in melon crush, a burnt citrus tone that is applied to the upper via the suede finish. Don’t forget the premium tag in the name either, as these step it up a notch with the materials, even letting a little extra padding pour down into the lining of the sneaker. Check out the extra angles below and grab the Nike Blazer Mid PRM in melon crush from end clothing out in the UK now.

In conjunction with the disclosure of Gorillaz x CONVERSE collaboration, the maker of the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star and Jack Purcell also announced the new lineup of its “Three Artists. One Song” music project. In this first installment of 2012, CONVERSE tapped the talented James Murphy, the polymathic Andre 3000, and of course, Gorillaz, for the creation of an original song. Exact details have not surfaced yet, though it didn’t stop Gorillaz‘s Murdoc Niccals from talking about it in his latest secret podcast, which you can hear in its entirety below.

The first major collaboration of the year, CONVERSE finally unveiled its new project with Gorillaz, the famous virtual band. The collection consists of four distinct CONVERSE Chuck Taylor All Star in High and Oxford forms. Each covered with unique graphics solely for this project by Jamie Hewlett, Gorillaz co-creator. In reference to the cover art on Gorillaz‘s self-titled album, one design features a fragmented camouflage in all-over print fashion. Militarism styling is found on another design, this time with Hewlett’s Pazuzu caricature on an all-black backdrop. Hewlett also created a special lining, a collage of Gorillaz’ albums artworks, for both. In addition, two other designs, in black with High Cut style and white in Oxford form, both featuring sketches of band members Stuart “2D” Pot, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs at play. Thus, completing the Spring 2012 Collection on a high note.
All four designs will be available through select CONVERSE retailers and CONVERSE online store on Thursday, February 23rd.
Release Date: February 23rd, 2012 (Thursday)

There is definitely a mutual respect between Junya Watanabe and DUVETICA as they have been working together for many seasons. Watanabe opted to build up on the Buzige jacket for the Spring 2012 release from Junya Watanabe COMME des GARÇONS MAN. An almost military-like aesthetic is created by the khaki color exterior, made from 100% cotton material. On the inside however, the 90% down and 10% feather filling ensures warmth and comfort. Contrasting the exterior is the blue/green/white check lining on the body and bright blue lining on the sleeves, lightening up the piece. Head over to NORSE STORE who have this jacket in their inventory at the moment.

We’ve seen some inventive takes on Nike‘s custom Vac-Tech treatment as applied to some of the brand’s iconic styles, but this new Nike Air Max 90 VT PRM presents an altogether new look for the classic silhouette. Constructed with a virtually seamless leather upper, the shoe takes on a vinyl-like quality that’s sure to inspire double takes in curious passersby. The visible Nike Air unit and familiar rubber outsole remain, but otherwise this Air Max 90 is exceedingly far removed from its origins as a performance running shoe. The Nike Air Max 90 VT PRM in Obsidian and Dark Slate is available now at End Clothing.

Details are where it’s at in taking in the splendor of the Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN Spring/Summer 2012 collection. It’s especially true for the brand’s selection of shirting, highlighting a pastiche of colors, patterns and materials that can only be executed with a sure hand and deft eye. Many of the shirts feature a club collar, creating a vintage feel that’s further enhanced by traditional plaids in rustic hues, while complementary shoulder and rear-arm panels plus blown-up chest pockets inject a healthy dose of avant-garde styling. The result is gentleman farmer meets Tokyo dandy. Check out the fresh assortment of Junya Watanabe MAN shirts at the Goodhood Store.
