Nike Air Superfly Woven Summer 2010 Black/Pink | Yellow/Gray

In 2000, in pursuit of the ultimate sneaker which is lightweight, functional and has a good sense of design, Nike created the Air Superfly, which soon became one of the most popular sneakers released then. Pushing the design and creative envelope even further while perpetuating the concept of lightweight, functionality and design, added its well-loved woven upper to the Air Superfly to create the Air Superfly Woven. While the upper is flexible and supportive for the feet, the EVA rubber midsoles and Air technology offers the wearer unparalleled support and comfort. The Air Superfly Woven had inherited the DNA of both the Superfly and the iconic woven upper, and this season it is ready to skip its way through the world in Black/Pink and Yellow/Gray colorways. The Black/Pink is a safe choice, but the Yellow/Gray will definitely standout in the summer. and bring a citrus-cool vacation vibe to your feet. Both colorways are available now via mita Sneakers

BAPE Summer 2010 Ape Sta

It’s really not anyone’s fault. But when you have a design as timeless and relevant to all as CONVERSE Chuck Taylor All Star, it’s quite inevitable that other people will draw inspiration from your design (let’s not use the “c” word too liberally here) and put their own spin to update it. It’s like when you would Sharpie your beaten Chucks in high school– everyone wants to have a personal touch on an awesome shoe. This season, BAPE is putting their for formidable mascot, the Ape, on a new series of footwear, the canvas Ape Sta which have a silhouette similar to the Chuck Taylor High Tops. However, as any hardworking, meticulous designer can tell you, victory lies in the details. The Ape Sta features ’s “Sta” logo on the toe midsole, and the colorful monochrome kicks come with a special “Ape Sta” tongue tag and embroidered “” and “R” logo patches, adding a sporty, playful touch. These high-top canvas kicks come in three colorways– blue, red and peach. Perfect with everything just like the Chucks. Perhaps Chuck’s die-hard fans would not switch over to the Ape Sta anytime soon, but imitation is the sincerest form of flattery– not to mention an imitation that take design one step further into a new level like these from . via: Street Thing

Freemans Sporting Club (FSC) New Store Location | Preview

One thing is certainly, the Freemans Sporting Club is unlike any retail outlet in New York City.  More of a social gathering place than a merchandising locale, Freemans Sporting Club, or as known as FSC, is an esoteric spot which transplant its visitors to another time. A time period when craftsmanship is a more of a norm than just an extravagance, like it is today. Long situated on the non-described corner of Freemans Alley in Lower East Side, the establishment will open its second location in the coming weeks along busy Greenich Village through way of Bleecker Street.

With boxes strewn everywhere, FSC’s owner Taavo Somer and crew are putting together the final touches in what some are calling FSC West. Located on the corner of Bleecker and Christopher, the store is scheduled to open sometime in May. via: SECRET FORTS
