Reebok x MLB - Shea Stadium Pump Running Dual

2008 will mark an important Major League Baseball (MLB) milestone in the city of New York as both Shea Stadium (home of the New York Mets) and Yankee Stadium, (the house the Ruth built), are put to use for the last time.  In their places, 2 new stadiums, with larger capacity and updated accommodations.  As construction crews busied themselves to finish the stadiums in time for the 2009 baseball season, Reebok and MLB created a commemorative collection to mark the important roles the 2 retired stadiums played in baseball history.  Based on the Reebok Pump Running Dual, each honors the team, with the classic blue and orange team colorways of the Mets for the Shea Stadium edition and the iconic navy Yankee pinstripes on the Yankee Stadium edition.  Silk screen-embossed likeness of each stadium on the heel panels, along with the years in operation: Yankees Stadium 1923-2008, and Shea Stadium 1964-2008.

Limited to only 150 units per design, the Reebok x MLB - Shea Stadium & Yankee Stadium Pump Running Dual are now available exclusively at 5 selected boutiques in New York, including Sneaker Bistro of Long Island.

Stones Throw Records label, known for producing such classics as MF Doom’s Mad Villian and Mad Lib’s Quasimoto, just launched a brand new online store.

Features some never before released albums, rare, hard to find gems, as well as an assortment of t-shirts for Men. A few tees in particular are a series of collaboration with Dutch artist Parra, well known in the sneakerhead circle for his work with the Nike Amsterdamn Air Max’s, Patta ASICS Gel Lite 3s, and Rockwell x ALIFE Rap’s.  Insipired by Stones Throw recording projects, there is an assortment of graphics, colorways, along with a few exclusives to the online store.  All are now available at Stones Throw.

Visvim’s newest Fall/Winter 2008 Collection continues to be delivered to their select accounts worldwide and the latest shoes that have been released as a part of that collection are these two Visvim Kiefer High’s in Black/Red and Black/Blue. The Kiefer High uses a silhouette similar to that of Converse’s Chuck Taylor but adds some value to the shoe by switching up a few things mostly the leather and craftsmanship on the shoes. Despite its fringe status and the endless rotation of band members, 2 things remained constants the last 2 decades for the band Suicidal Tendencies: the involvement of founder/lead singer/song writer Mike Muir through all its incarnations and its impact being as one of first band to cross elements of metal rock and punk music. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of of its debut/self titled album, released in 1983. New Era create a limited run of its 59FIFTY caps. Each features the band’s name in white edgy fonts on a deep black backdrop.
