Just a reminder, the much anticipated collaboration between New York’s ALIFE Rivington Club (A.R.C.) and the original athletic lifestyle label, Lacoste, is now available at A.R.C. and selected retailers worldwide. The collection, which features a line of polo shirts and tennis sneakers in corrodinating colorways, has its root to Lacoste’s imagery of tradition and simplicity, While ALIFE, without distorting much of that, put on its own aestheticism to the combination. As Arnaud Delecolle, ALIFE co-founder, stated about the project ” The Rivington Club is committed to brands that have a true athletic history”. A.R.C. also changed some of Polo shirt elements to much closely to rugby shirt, such as the collar and placket system and interior tape on collar and side vents.

The first gift idea is the Nike Tech Pack Bonded Fleece Bomber Jacket. The appearance of this item is quite ordinary, not much different from the usual varsity/bomber jacket. However, this jacket requires a closer look. One feature that is apparent are the pockets. Each is not sewn on but bonded on and its opening cut out via a laser. This ensure the utmost precise opening to deflect the elements like snow and rain. In fact, no sewing was involved in the production of this jacket. Each components were “welded” together by a special ultrasonic technique. Finally, instead of the traditional melton wool or leather, Nike utilized bonded fleece as base material. It can provide same level of warmth, except the jacket now weight considerably less.
