adidas Originals ZX8000 White Supergreen Purple

While the adidas aficionados among you will recognize this upcoming ZX 8000 in White/Supergreen/Purple isn’t a new colorway, the soft pastel tones make for a good harbinger of spring, and a refreshing sense of renewal the season occasions. The construction of the shoe, on the other hand, is firmly rooted in the past. It features the Torsion system adidas introduced to runners in the 1980s that worked with the foot’s natural tendency to have independent motion of the heel and forefoot, creating superior stability and control. Today, we appreciate the shoe for its retro good looks, though the comfortable fit certainly doesn’t hurt. Look for this adidas ZX 8000 to drop at select retailers starting in March. via: Suelas de Goma

adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott – Spring/Summer 2012 Collection Lookbook | Part 2

If there was an ideal term for a general description, it would be rambunctious celebration. Again with a stroke of ostentation and bombast, Jeremy Scott continues his partnership with adidas Originals for Spring/Summer 2012. Unlike some of his past collections, there is actually a cohesiveness to the design theme for this upcoming collection. Cue in on the growing interest on Americana, Scott elaborated on American cultural icons with his signature abandonment of popular perceptions. Who said a cowboy can’t wear a pair of sneakers if he wants to? How about a sequin football jersey for weekend? Or a strait jacket in the colors of Stars and Strips? Rules of political correctness need not apply, outrageous mixed with a dosage of fun dictate each items, from the JS MEGA Softcell Cowboy Boots, the Fringed Track Jacket, to the nearly infamous American Flag Strait Jacket. Nothing is off limits. Then again, isn’t that the reason why fashion is fun?

The by Collection for Spring/Summer 2012 is available now with more additions to come in the following weeks.

adidas Originals ZX 8000 | Pre Order

Not many running shoes can claim to be a part of history. The adidas ZX 8000 is an exception, as the shoe was worn by Carlos Lopes when he took almost a second off the world’s best marathon time at the 1985 Rotterdam Marathon, the last major competitive race of the 38-year-old runner’s career. Aside from its place in the record books, the ZX 8000 is a much loved style thanks to its classic good looks and trademark Torsion midfoot support. Two upcoming colorways for spring are both dressed with premium leather and mesh at the upper, one in Black/Super Cyan and the other in White/Super Green. Both styles are available for pre-order now through End Clothing.
