From his traditional role of producing bangers for hip hop’s elite to making waves with his various fashion endeavors, the man is branching out now to scoring the Oscars along with Hans Zimmer and the set up of his new Billionaire Girls Club line. GQ sat down with Williams recently for a brief Q&A, chopping it up about his Academy Awards involvement, the influence of his personal style, and more. Hit up GQ for the full interview with the Billionaire Boys Club leader now.

Billionaire Boys Club has just added a new coat with a classic and simple look to their already popular line of varsity jackets, shirts and accessories for their upcoming spring 2012 collection. Keeping faithful to their throwback, 50′s approach, BBC offers a black-on-black colorway with white knit stripes on the neck and ends of the leather sleeves as well as a red/white and green/white option that adds a bit more to the preppy look of this jacket. The front of the wool body is finished with the “B” on the top left chest along with double welt pockets made of leather. There will be plenty to celebrate come next year when Billionaire Boys Club launches a full-fledged line for women, aptly named Billionaire Girls Club. When first conceived by Pharrell Williams and A Bathing Ape founder NIGO back in 2005, the goal was to offer Billionaire Boys Club-related merchandises to female fans of the brand. But demands have become such that it was only natural to create a complete collection with the ladies in mind. As a prelude to the collection’s official launch, limited supplies of BGC t-shirts, vests, and tank tops are now available, exclusively through BBC’s online store and selected retailers worldwide. Each item is to branded with the new BGC “Space Girl” logo, a design by iconic Japanese artist SK8THING and a twist on BBC’s astronaut emblem. More info is to come as the BGC collection launch nears.

The best description of A Bathing Ape‘s fan is resiliency. Just 2 weeks ago, hundreds lined up for BAPE New York Pirate Store despite the oncoming hurricane warning. A repeat of the same scene played out in front its Greene Street flagship last night, all for the opportunity to purchase the exclusive A Bathing Ape x Billionaire Boys Club collaboration t-shirts. A commerative collection for Fashion’s Night Out only, the series features a myriad of join branding between BBC and BAPE. Additionally, the series introduce the new Billionaire Girls Club label for the first time. There is never a dull moment in Nigel Sylvester‘s life. The Queens-native works hard, ride even harder, and party the hardest. Thursday evening was no exception with the street style BMX rider unveiled his signature Casio G-Shock timepiece, the GD100NS-7, and officially joined the Casio action sports roster. Hosted by Nigel’s “Big Brother” DJ Clark Kent and dear friend “Hawaii” Mike Salman, in conjunction with the rider’s long time sponsor Hennessy, the event was a familiar redux to Nigel’s birthday party a several months back. Similar to that event, the venue was at capacity even before it started. Yet, folks still found ways to congratulate Nigel at the penthouse suite of The Hotel on Rivington, from Mayor, Mel D Cole (Village Slum), Dee & Ricky, DJ Soul, Billionaire Boys Club, L.R.G., Nike Sportswear, AM PM New York, Mishka, ALIFE, and etc… Even a dapper Pharrell swung by to wish his friend the best. In the meantime, the Nigel Sylvester x Casio G-Shock GD100NS-7 will be available in the coming weeks at G-Shock specialty stores around the world.

A quick rebuttal via his Twitter account to clarify what GQ reported this morning, hip-hop mogul Jay-Z announced his fashion consortium Rocawear‘s purchase of Pharrell Williams‘ Billionaire Boys Club isn’t a purchase at all. Instead, its a partnership where each of the involved parties will bring their strengths to the effort. Under the agreement, Rocawear will handle the logistic aspect, from manufacturing to distribution. This will free up Williams to focus on BBC creative portion and marketing. In addition, in keeping with Billionaire Boys Club founding motto, its merchandises will only be available at select boutiques around the world still. Certainly a sweet heart deal for both men in the face of an uncertain outlook. More detailed information to come soon…

The Grammy winning musician, producer, frontman of N.E.R.D. , just to named a few, this new platform allows Williams to become an emissary of sort to the growing youth culture. In his statement, Williams addressed Karmaloop TV will “once again give intelligent and creative youth culture a voice and a TV entertainment brand they can call their own, something that has been missing for a long time now. We intend to create amazing programming that really speaks to this group and is innovative, fun and groundbreaking. Progressive youth culture is hungry for different content than what is out there now – they are currently massively underserved.” Greg Selkoe, Founder of Karmaloop and CEO of the new venture added ““We’re delighted and honored that he has joined our effort to create a multi-platform brand that will once again excite cutting edge youth culture about TV, just as MTV did in the 1980s.” Heads by Katie McEnroe, former President of AMC Network, Karmaloop TV is slated to be available later this year as a cable television channel.
