German auto tweaker, Carlsson Autotechnik announced the Carlsson Smart C25 Edition, a converted Smart ForTwo that act as the chase vehicle for the monstrosity, the Carlsson C25 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG.
The name Carlsson is synonymous with high performance and high quality aftermarket parts for Mercedes-Benz. It is a German tuning house with long history in motorsport since the 80′s. Over this period of time Carlsson have developed various models based on factory Mercedes-Benz models pushing its limits performance wise and also aesthetically as well. In the upcoming Geneva Motor Show Carlsson will release the very limited C25 which is only produced in 25 units worldwide.
Based on the Mercedes-Benz SL600, the C25 is equipped with 6 liter, twin turbo V12 engine at its heart giving a top speed of 352 km/h (218.7 mph). The aim of this hypercar is a vehicle that is safe to be driven on the road or track and performs well as a daily driver and serious contender at other times. All of the safety systems have been retained on the car and improved suspension is provided for optimum performance on corners and straights. The standard Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG is by no means a slow car but German tuning house Carlsson have decided to boosted the power up even further and called it E CK63 RS. The 6.3 litre V8 engine can punch out 585 hp (430kw) at maximum torque of 695Nm over the standard 525hp (386kw) at 630Nm of torque. The revised engine and modifications allows for this improvement to be realized. On the outside, Carlsson has kitted the body with front and rear skirts along with extended wing and side moldings. Sportier 20 inch 5 double spoke REVO rims finish the Benz off nicely giving it a mean stance. Interior is not forgotten too with leather and ultra suede detailing on the seats, steering wheel and door panels, as well as a Carlsson logo that lights up.
