David Beckham and UNDFTD‘s James Bond present the adidas Originals by David Beckham Spring/Summer 2012 collection. The lineup reflects Becks’ personal style, featuring an apparel range infused with collegiate and military undertones, plus technical details from the best of adidas performance wear. Highlights include a field jacket crafted from durable ripstop, as well as the lightweight and water-repellent windbreaker pant with contrast-colored tape and ankle zips. An assortment of sweats, polos and raglan-sleeve tees round out the selection. In terms of sneakers, look for the Mega Torsion Flex ClimaCool, based on the ClimaCool Runner 1, along with the Forest Hills Mid, ZX 800, Doley and Grand Prix. You can expect the goods to drop at select adidas Originals retailers starting February 2012.

Predates the current game of power serves and ball smashing choreography was Forest Hills, the hidden away neighborhood in Queens, New York and former home of U.S. Open Tennis Championship. As a deference to those days of spins and finesse, James Bond of UNDFTD re-imagined the adidas Originals Forest Hills as a midtop instead. Still with its vibrant colored outsole, this new rendition includes the addition of a mesh tongue for comfort. Becks and Bond’s excellent adventure continues apace. Here’s a preview of two new runners from the adidas Originals x David Beckham collection for spring/summer 2012, featuring one model from the past and one from the present. The ClimaCool runner, in vibrant orange or black, is the line’s first foray into modern performance footwear. The shoe is something of a hybrid, with the upper from the original ClimaCool runner combined with the outsole of the ClimaCool Ride. After its initial success, the adidas Originals x David Beckham Collection expanded on the premises of preppy varsity silhouettes interjected with British sensibilities for Fall and Winter 2011. Also attentive to urban trends and active lifestyle, the collaboration with David Beckham and Undefeated’s James Bond will be introducing the DB M65 Jacket, the former standard issue to U.S. service men with a twist – weather proof coated Schoeller fabric. The DB Puff Jacket, with its durable ripstop nylon shell and down insulation is the perfect “in-between outerwear” while the seasons are in transition. Puristic and simplicity but never too far from functionality, design ideals behind the DB Knitted Sweater Jacket with its water repellent coating. To present an united front with all of its elements coming together, adidas finally unveiled the new global campaign, adidas Is All In, this morning. Under the direction of Romain Gavras with soundtrack support from synth-electronic band Justice’s new single, Civilization, the 2-minute long video is a collage of featurettes, spanning across the label’s 3 different aspects – adidas Performance, adidas Originals, and adidas Sport Style. In just 120-second, glimpses of skateboarders Silas Baxter-Neal, Lem Villemin, soccer stars David Beckham and Lionel Messi, Chicago Bulls’ own Derrick Rose, Hip-Hop sensation B.o.B., pop-icon Katy Perry and more all graced the scene.
