SBTG x DC Shoes – Enter the Dragon | Video

Chinese legend has it that in seeking a way to ward off evil spirits, the gods and goddess bestowed a monk with mastery over lions, noble beasts feared most by the depraved creatures. Hence, the origin of Lion Dance. Inspired partly by this ancient folklore, DC Shoes and sneaker customizer SBTG (aka Mark Ong) created a brief commercial for their continue collaboration. Known as “Enter The Dragon”, four skaters donned on monk masks and went on a quest across Singapore in the search of the alluded x collabs. In the end, however, their search led them to something else instead.

PROJECT Show New York NVRBRKN By DC: Boost Up Unrst Fall 2012

Ultra lightweight thanks to its No-Sew Technology cell mesh upper and UNILITE sole, its easy to dismiss the Boost Up Unrst as another skate-lifestyle sneaker from its silhouette alone. But this team sneaker from NVRBRKN By DC serves a purpose very close to the brand’s mantra. According to its Design & Marketing Manager, Hommy Diaz, the Boost Up Unrst was made to be the ideal “rehabilitation footwear” whereby an injured skaters can recuperate thanks to the sneaker’s lightness and thick padding. After all, a skater can have a battered body. But his or hers spirits will never be broken, hence the name NVRBRKN.

Ken Block x Ford Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle – Gravel Road Test at Twin Peaks | Video

Last December professional rally driver and his Monster World Rally Team brought the HFHV Fiesta to Snoqualmie Falls, Washington, to put the car through its paces for its first ever gravel test. Snoqualmie Falls is the home of the Dirtfish Rally School, but over 20 years ago it was the stand-in for Twin Peaks, the fictional small town for which the cult David Lynch television program was named. A new mashup video from the Monster World Rally Team intercuts footage of drifting vehicular mayhem with the sort of comically surreal scenes that were Twin Peaks‘ specialty, but the real highlights are the split-screens that juxtapose scenic shots from the actual show with the same location in present day. No need to worry — there’s more than enough spinning wheels and spitting gravel to keep rally car fans transfixed. Check out the video after the click.

Ken Block x Ford Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle A Day on the Streets of L.A. | Video
If the latest video of getting sideways and smokey in his seems a bit like a car commercial, there’s a reason. In exchange for ’s deep support of Block’s drift rocket adventures, Block has been a very willing spokesman for the company; this latest installment sees Block making use of Ford’s Sync AV system, as he tools around on open roads in LA (in a very un-street legal vehicle). And if scenes that combine Block drifting in circles while DC BMX rider Kelly Bolton seem painfully cliche, then this video probably isn’t for you. But if you are one of Block’s many fans, who can’t get enough of his sponsor-emblazoned Fiesta antics, then read no further and watch immediately. Corporate sponsorship is heavy, but the high production values these videos have don’t come cheap. It’s good don’t-try-this-at-home fun for drift fans, and for fans of the genre a must-watch. Check out the video after the jump. via: Autoblog.

DC x Ken Block – Gymkhana FOUR: Hollywood Megamercial | Video

DC Shoes co-founder Ken Block is well known for making a grand entrance though there’s never been something this epic before. In part to the introduction of his newest FOUR, a heavily modified Ford Fiesta aptly called Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle (H.F.H.V.), and DC launched The Hollywood Megamercial video this afternoon. With Universal Studios as the backdrop, appropriately, Block enlisted help from director Ben Conrad and his production unit LOGAN, both best known for works on cult-classic Zombieland and others, to iron out all the kinks. The premise is quite simple, to have an ultimate mashup of iconic Hollywood films that came before – debris field from War of the World, Jaw‘s mechanical shark, Norman Bates’ newest slay from Psycho, even a reference of Slumdog Millionaire. Accompanied with enough GoPro cameras recreate Matrix‘s “bullet time” sequence and adrenaline infusion provided by Epic Meal Time, there is really no words to describe this video except for one – craziness.
