Bedwin & The Heartbreakers teams up with Dickies once again this season for a pair of Julien Cargo Pants. Unlike the usual Tripster cropped pants, this item follows the traditional cargo pants design from Dickies. Two versions of the original camouflage are printed in Green and Blue colorways, covering the entire exterior. The rear waist is pleated, yet there are two extra adjustable cinches on each side that create visual impact as well. Since these are a special item produced for Bedwin & The Heartbreakers, the Dickies logo is toned down in black/white, while the signature red Bedwin No.5 woven tag stands out on the left thigh. HAVEN in Canada is stocking these pants, in addition to Bedwin & The Heartbreakers dealers in major cities.

Though virtually synonymous with the term “workwear”, Dickies is also the label of choice for guys who deliberately cultivate an anti-fashion stance. Streetwear companies have picked up on the contrarian cool of the brand with a rich heritage that obviates trendiness, resulting in partnerships with the likes of Stussy and Alife. A collection of snapback caps, appropriately with streetwear forebear Starter, is the newest collaboration. The caps come in solid and two-tone variations, with some featuring a 1920s logo straight from Dickies’ archives. These are slated for a spring/summer 2012 release.

Stussy Japan have enlisted the help of established work wear brand Dickies for a capsule collection to be released later this month. Rather than reinventing the wheel, the staple silhouettes have been untouched with a slight change in the base fabrics. Use of colorful checker pattern fabrics eliminates the work aesthetics on the Painter Shorts and these will go well with matching fresh kicks. Cropped pants have been a popular item last Summer and it is back again but in a unique indigo denim material. Last but not the least, the Work Shorts are constructed in orthodox navy and khaki colorways. All of the pairs will be releasing on Saturday, May 28th at all Stussy Chapters in Japan and online stores.

The UNDFTD JP Line began earlier this year as an exclusive range from UNDEFEATED Japan. In its latest, this new entry to the Tokyo fashion scene established a working relationship with Dickies. Among the workwear icon’s portfolio are 2, a common silhouette with a regular inseam and a cropped style preferred by those not wanting to incessantly cuffed their pants. Both pieces are constructed in Dickies classic blend of polyester (65%) and cotton (35%) for softer texture. Brandings are done in a chain stitched matter of the “Undefeated” logo on the thigh plus a stencil printed “Five Strikes” along with a double brand woven tag right above the rear pockets. Both styles are available in khaki and beige colors, only at UNDEFEATED Japan store locations. via: hayabusa

An interactive editorial with a penchant on creative types, Dickies’ Love Your Work follows key players from street fashion, photography, music, and sport. Some are well known, like Stussy’ Creaitve Director Paul Mittleman, while others are local heroes, as in the case of Michael Kopelman and Andrew Bunney of England. But there is a cohesiveness in their passion of what they do, their love for their work. Interactive map, poster by Mike Giant, Fixed Gear London video, photos, illustrations, a wealth of venerable materials from Dickies’ archive, along with its Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. Stussy and Dickies are coming together once again for Spring/Summer 2011. In 2010, we saw co-branded work pants, cropped worker pants, and corduroy pants from the two. For this latest round, Stussy is putting their stamp on Dickies classics: the 574 workpant and workshirt (in both short and longsleeve styles), plus a thermal-lined hooded sweatshirt. The collection includes ripstop and striped oxford cloth, but the standout piece might be the chambray workshirt. The piece incorporates Dickies’ rugged triple-stitch construction, with a classic Stussy logo stitched into the chest. The workpant and hooded sweatshirt are available now from Stussy, with the workshirt releasing in April. This a tried and true collaboration recipe: staple pieces from a heritage brand getting a style update from a more contemporary partner. The devil is in the details, and Stussy played it well by not compromising the workwear authenticity. Check out the artistic/lookbook images of this latest Dickies/Stussy collection after the jump.

One American classic meets another, as the interest in Americana styling grow, so are opportunities for convergence of genres like CONVERSE and Dickies. For Spring 2011, the 2 labels announced 2 designs from their joint effort. One is the Chuck Taylor All Star, the anointed American classic but now with Dickies supplied canvas and its seal of approval. The other is a hybrid of sort, the Chuck Taylor All Star Classic Boot. Essentially a Chuck Taylor All Star High with subtle inspiration from workboots. The result is a moc detailing toe box. Again, made from Dickies supplied canvas and marked with its logo as seal of approval. Both designs, in various colors, will be available for purchase in the coming months at select CONVERSE retailers worldwide.

It is fitting that the all American work wear giant Dickies team up with all Japanese tough watch brand Casio G-Shock, as each brand has emphasized on toughness and durability from day one. The DW-6900 model is switched up with the corporate colors of Dickies and the red casing and wrist band command attention immediately. On the dial, the face is two toned in blue and yellow with red Dickies logo on the top and the EL back lighting shows off the Dickies horse shoe logo as well. Yellow stars represent the American heritage and are randomly printed on the wrist band. Lastly the watch is packaged in a custom made quilted cotton pouch with a draw string on top. via: nano universe

Did you know that, prior to overalls and work pants, the founders of Dickies, Charles Nathan Williamson and Emmett Eugene Dickie, were in the vehicle and harness business and later, went on to sold hats. The Texas cousins’ big break really came about when they started making overalls that rapidly became a fast favorite of the hard-working American workers, who valued comfort as well as durability. Through out the years, the business evolved and Dickies changed to suit consumer tastes, and also stayed ahead in terms of technological advancement in ensuring their products are always one step ahead of the rest. For instance, Dickie developed the permanent press technology after observing his wife giving herself a perm at home. Check out a history of Dickies, from Blue Distribution, and learn more about the company that is not only a favorite of the workers today, but also of the youth. So celebrate a real American story about a bit of luck, and a lot of hard work after the jump.

Not just known for its sturdy and near indestructible work pants, Dickies has also stepped up in the footwear game with a new collection of casual footwear for Spring/Summer 2011. One of the silhouettes from the collection include the Transporter Low, which features a stone-washed canvas upper and comes in three shades that mimic Dickies’ classic work pants colorways– black, wheat and brown. The canvas upper is given a sophisticated touch with matching suede accents, and the casual touch is completed with vulcanized soles. via: FNG

The November releases from Billionaire Boys Club/Ice Cream camp is very solid indeed. First, the Billionaire Boys Club EVA Varsity Jacket is a well designed piece featuring BBC decals and designs on the front, back and sleeves. The jacket comes in black or blue versions made in wool body and leather sleeves. Included in this drop are the reissues of the Digi Jack Elbow Patch Shirts in red, blue, green and gray color schemes. Its simple silhouette is accentuated by the custom fabric with digital stripes. Other items include the Bugged IC cap, two versions of the Authentic BBC logo t-shirts and Double Scoop Photo Print Hoodie by Ice Cream. BBC x Dickies Dog Chino Pants is also a fresh take on the classic chino pants in beige color.

From worker’s wear to military standard issued, any fans of vintage rags know the label Dickies and its long association with Americana. And since another American original, the varsity jacket, is all the rage now, it was only a matter of time before Dickies join the fray. Though we are sure this isn’t the first varsity jacket from Dickies, it is certainly the newest, with a more streamlined design and stitching. Still, it isn’t far from the classic with its Melton wool body panel and premium leather sleeves. A quilted lining to boot, the jacket is an ideal addition this Fall. Comes in tonal black and contrast grey with black sleeves, Dickies Springfield Varsity Jacket is now available at Stockholm’s Caliroots and select Dickies retailers worldwide.
