Getting away from the VNTG look on their retro releases for a minute, Nike opts instead for a premium treatment of the immortal Blazer. Under its newly revived Consortium imprint, adidas Originals is set to re-release a classic from the brand’s archives — namely, the 1970s-era Munchen. Handcrafted in adidas’ home factory in Scheinfeld, Germany, the shoe is dressed in the original blue colorway and features an upper built with a combination of suede and mesh, along with a comfortable leather lining and lightweight polyurethane sole. The limited edition release numbers 500 pairs worldwide, and comes packaged in a special 1:1 reproduction of the original box. This is not the first time COMME des GARÇONS partnered up with The Generic Man to produce exclusive footwear, although it is probably safe to say, this will not be the last time these two brands will be work together either. Here’s an interesting piece from visvim, the Archive Vest, crafted from Japanese nylon with contrast Italian canvas at the shoulders. The collaboration between Stone Island and Diemme is back with a Oiled Cloth mid in time for the Spring 2012 season. Like much of Stone Island’s apparel, these kicks retain their old school military feel and are constructed using an olive-colored oiled cloth upper with navy suede and leather detailing. The shoe’s inner sole is stamped “Made in Italy” while a white vulcanized rubber sole sits below. Stone Island branding marks the tongue along with off-white cloth laces looped through polished steel eyelets. visvim started life as an independent footwear brand almost 10 years ago and even though the current line up of products have expanded into full apparel and accessories, their footwear range is still attracting attention from fans. Clarks Originals is paying tribute to the famous music cultures and genres that have stemmed from England in their British Rock Royalty collection. We touched on the Ska Edition earlier and now we take a look at the Punk Edition. The Punk rock era started around the 60′s and gained popularity around mid 70′s where it started to diversify in US, UK and various other countries. These Desert Boots are an homage to the British Punk movement and the faded Union Jack on the upper represents the hard-edged rockers.
