The best description of A Bathing Ape‘s fan is resiliency. Just 2 weeks ago, hundreds lined up for BAPE New York Pirate Store despite the oncoming hurricane warning. A repeat of the same scene played out in front its Greene Street flagship last night, all for the opportunity to purchase the exclusive A Bathing Ape x Billionaire Boys Club collaboration t-shirts. A commerative collection for Fashion’s Night Out only, the series features a myriad of join branding between BBC and BAPE. Additionally, the series introduce the new Billionaire Girls Club label for the first time. If you missed the opportunity last evening, however, expect more collaboration from BAPE in the near future.

If you been to enough Fashion’s Night Out events, you know to expect surprises around every corner. For Nike Sportswear on 21 Mercer Street, the astonishment came in the form of a DeLorean DMC-12. Not just any DeLorean DMC-12, but one with “Doc” Brown’s Flux Capacitor! Yes, its the modified DeLorean DMC-12 from Back To The Future II. Unlike the hallowed-out shell found on Universal Studios’ back lot, this DeLorean DMC-12 has all the bells and whistles still intact. Quipped with its very own fog machine and get this, a MATTEL Hover Board, operators of the purported time machine looped “The Power of Love”, the official Back To The Future anthem by Huey Lewis and the News, on its stereo system. Part of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, the DeLorean functions as a platform for Parkinson’s Disease awareness. It doubles as a donation point, where the Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor on the back of the vehicle is now a Mr. Compassion Donation Processor.
In conjunction with the unveiling of Nike MAG 2011 (McFly), the DeLorean DMC-12 Time Machine project was a secret to everyone, even to the staffers at 21 Mercer. Things started late Wednesday night, with carpenters and electricians constructing a stage in the midst of rain. Next, the vehicle rolled into place just as the Nike MAG 2011′s announcement took place some 2,000 miles away in Los Angeles. While the DeLorean might be gone now, samples of the Nike MAG 2011 (McFly) is still on display within the store for the duration of the Nike’s “Back For The Future” campaign.

Its original pretense was so simple – extending store hours along with additional incentives, all as remedies to shore up the weakening retail sector in New York City. However a season later, Fashion’s Night Out, the idea first facilitated by Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief, the legendary Anna Wintour, is now a global event, with 16 nations participating.
On ward with less than 24 hours to go, New York City will kick off its Fashion’s Night Out. With over 1,300 festivities to take place within a 5-hour time slot, its by far the largest and unfortunately, the most complex. Because none of us have doppelgangers or knew of a secret ninjutsu for body duplicity, Freshness complied a list of interesting and fitting events to take place tomorrow evening. Be it meeting Mr. Pharrell Williams at BBC/Ice Cream store in SoHo, greet designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville from Rag & Bone, to exclusive deals and sipping champagne as the evening pass, the choices are endless. The only thing left is the decision you make. Remember, the choice is yours, but at the end of it, just have fun and enjoy.

Unearthing Timberland’s lumberjack roots, definitive French retailer, colette, is back again with the heritage company to extend their partnership. However, they have veered away from footwear, and instead, worked on a lumber jacket. Retaining the great American sartorial tradition of plaid and workwear, the Lumber Jacket takes on the shape of a plaid button down, featuring a colette blue and black plaid body, with tan leather accents for the famed Timberland work boots. These are set to drop at colette’s space in Opening Ceremony’s A Parisian Flea Market in Ace Hotel on Fashion’s Night Out, and it will be available at colette starting October 11.via: styleengine

Last year, Fashion’s Night Out debuted around the world and painted an ephemeral, optimistic picture for the then desolate economy. As one of the biggest shopping and fashion events in the world, retailers extended their opening hours and designers took the night to host parties and reconnect with their customers. Since the event was a raving success (with approximately 800 stores participating in New York City alone), Fashion’s Night Out will be back again this year with full force and a limited edition collection set to hit select retailers in August.

It’s official! CFDA, Vogue, Mayor Bloomberg and NYC & Company has set the date and will be recreating one of the most successful global retail event of the year for 2010–Fashion’s Night Out. With a reported 50% increase in foot traffic, it is only good sense to do it all over again! Remember the good times shared watching Kid Cudi downing champagne and running from BAPE to BBC/Ice Cream, and having Pharrell ring up your items? Remember Alexander Wang at Opening Ceremony and the sale-turned-major-banging-block-party in front of the store? So many wonderful memories can be relived or recaptured–if you missed out this year– again next year. Now, the only problem would be to figure out how to make it to more stores and to trek from LES to Soho then all the way to Saks on Fifth Avenue without missing out. Either way, mark this date on your fresh 2010 calendars or iPhones– 09.09.2010. via: Style.com
While hundreds of fans clamoring to get into BBC | Ice Cream on Thursday for Fashion’s Night Out event here in New York City, MTV News had the opportunity to talk briefly with the superstar where he expressed his gratitude towards his fans and supporters of not just his music, but his clothing label and designs.
> Freshness: BBC | Ice Cream – Fashion’s Night Out | With Pharrell Williams

With all the festivities going on last night at SoHo, none was wilder than Kid Cudi‘s private listening party at BAPE New York. Close to 600 people waited along Greene Street for the opportunity to meet the Hip-Hop star despite a light rain. The line-up continued into the store, where Kid Cudi cordially welcome each fan. Within the first 2 hours, the exclusive BAPE – Baby Milo x Kid Cudi tees were sold out. After a private party on BAPE’s 2nd floor, pandemonium really set in around 9 pm when Kid Cudi decided to make a “mad dash” sprint towards BBC | Ice Cream 3 blocks away for a meeting with Pharrell. In an instant, the streets of SoHo were filled with hundreds of fans, onlookers, and media personnel. At BBC, where rapper Jadakiss later joined the party, a chaotic scene ensued that even the NYPD had a difficult time managing the crowd. With the end of Fashion’s Night Out event approaching at 11 pm. Kid Cudi upped the ante one last time with another mad dash, this time back to BAPE for a brief rest.

Last evening’s Fashion’s Night Out event here at New York was an astounding success as thousands of shoppers flooded the streets all over the city, including the neighborhood of SoHo. Among the stores on “the must visit list” of many was BBC | Ice Cream on West Broadway, where Pharrell Williams greeted fans at the store. Around 800 people, many since 9 am in the morning, lined for the special session. The highlight of the evening came when Pharrell unexpectedly ran out of the store to greet someone in a passing limousine, ensuing a brief chase by fans and shoppers down West Broadway. Even after the special edition 3M Reflective NYC T-Shirt and Heart & Mind New Era Fitted Cap were sold out, hundreds still corralled around the store, when another surprise walked into the store, Kid Cudi followed by Jadakiss. The crowd grew to such a size that even the New York Police Department had a difficult time dispersing them towards the end of the evening.
