Following up the new releases from SOPHNET. and uniform experiment, the latest items from F.C. Real Bristol will make their way into stores, the last of the trio of brands under the SOPH. empire. This season’s theme, Union Jack, might be the most straightforward from the soccer-inspired brand. With the London Olympics being held later this year, the UK supporters may want to invest in these tracksuits. The designs incorporate the Union Jack, Scottish flag, and English flag logos on the back of the Warm Up Jackets, accompanied by matching Warm Up Pants. The new season pieces will be released this Saturday, February 4th at all F.C. Real Bristol accounts across the globe.

Japan’s uniform experiment continues its ongoing collaboration with Alpha Industries, this season refashioning the iconic N-3B Parka as part of its U.E.N. series for the “Untitled” A/W 2011 collection. Built with a 100% nylon shell and featuring removable faux fur trim on the adjustable hood, the cold weather parka boasts a wealth of details, including exterior snap button pockets, zippered sleeve pocket, U.E. stenciled print on sleeve and chest, leather pocket and drawstring trim, and buttoned storm flap with zippered front closure. Finally, there’s polyester fill for warmth and ribbed cuffs for a snug fit. Available in olive or black colorways. Limited and concise, the capsule collection from Japan’s SOPHNET. and Americana label PENDLETON Woolen Mills includes just a hooded Mountain Parka, a pair of Reversible Vests, a set of Plaid Shirt, and the all-important Pendleton Blanket. While the collection will be one of the more difficult merchandises to locate this holiday season. Each item on the collection tells an intricate part of this collaborative effort. This is especially true in the integration of a special PENDLETON flannel pattern, in the shape of a scorpion. Not only it is the astrology sign of November, it signifying the month which designer Hirofumi Kiyonaga established SOPHNET. The SOPHNET. x PENDLETON – Capsule Collection is now available at SOPHNET. retail locations across Japan.

Its collaborators might have changed, so have the materials and various of other things. However, the premise of uniform experiment has been a constant one since Japanese trendsetter Hiroshi Fujiwara and Hirofumi Kiyonaga, creative director of labels SOPH. and F.C.R.B., decided to create a testing platform some years ago. Then, as it is now, uniform experiment is an exploration of clothing design where trends and market rules gave way to the pursue of refinement. In other words, how can one better pre-existing designs without comprising the original ethos of the design? One of the most recent application of this ideal was with American workwear label Carhartt. By “re-engineer” the label’s popular duck canvas and familiar silhouettes, uniform experiment created the uniform experiment x Carhartt Capsule Collection.
Comprised of Hunting Jacket, Bronco Pants, and Work Vest in Brown or Navy, the collection is more than just another branding each with another label. In fact, Kiyonaga and company reworked every inch of the design. Yet, in typical Japanese fashion, you’d hard pressed find the subtle alterations in fit, details, and materials. Limited in availability, the collection is now for sale at Canadian retailer HAVEN and its online store.

While his designs have decidedly been moving away from sportswear styling the last few years, Visvims‘ chief creator, Hiroki Nakamura, recently made several creations to state otherwise. Each coming season, we see a reinterpretation of the classic Nike Blazer. While itself is just another pair of sneakers, the many visages it donned on, however, is like a strata of fashion trends, from the ones highlight in Freshness’ RE-Fresh segment to this most current addition by Japan’s SOPHNET. In all canvas with only a vulcanized toecap in black as visual accent, the Blazer lacks all pretentious markings except for one, a seamless zipper on the side. Barely visible on the heel tab is Nike’s branding, while a most visible one in black is found on the tongue, the design team at SOPHNET. Added a supple leather lining on the inside, a nice method to complete the package. The SOPHNET. X Nike Blazer Mid AB Canvas TZ will be available at select retailers such as Caliroots’ SIX FEET DOWN starting tomorrow.
