As the “Official Sneaker Cleaner of Sneaker Con Los Angeles”, cleanser mixologist Jason Markk had the privilege to capture some behind-the-scene look at the first ever Sneaker Con Los Angeles. Unfortunately, he got to the Los Angeles Convention Center late last Saturday. Luckily, he was still able to capture some of the sights and sounds from the inaugural event. And while the reception was not as hectic as the one in New York City two weekends ago, there was still plenty of dealings going on. In fact, Markk nearly sold out his inventory by the day’s end.
Introducing the 4 oz. Sneaker Cleaning Kit from Jason Markk, a smaller, more portable package that still packed with the cleaning power of its larger cousins. In addition, the new size kit comes with a revamped sneaker box packaging in celebration of basketball. Dominated with a basketball silhouette, the dimples are raised and “debossed” for a textual feel.
As a part of the adidas Originals Five Two 3 campaign, adidas Originals has collaborated with Jason Markk on a special collaboration cleaning kit. The collaboration comes in a co-branded adidas Originals Five Two 3 and Jason Markk box and features various Five Two 3 graphics on the inside of the cleaning kit. Coming soon from Jason Markk and NORT, a special sneaker cleaning pack inspired by the sci-fi classic TRON. Included is a 8 oz. Jason Markk Premium Sneaker Solution in the color teal, identical to the background color found in the movie. Also included is a special wooden brush, laser-etched with both Jason Markk and NORT logos. Jason Markk’s signature shoebox-like packaging, went through a complete makeover as well, with TRON-inspired graphics and teal-colored NORT insignia.
This unique edition was created by Recon designer Jared Liner, under the direction of Stash, graffiti artist and owner of Recon/NORT. Stash also happens to be a fan of the film, so much so he named his storefront after it (Hint: Spell NORT backward). The premium kit will be available for purchase at NORT/Recon New York flagship, Jason Markk’s online store and the soon to be re-launch Recon online store this Thursday, November 8th.

The good people at Jason Markk sent over a few sets of the Jason Markk Premium Sneaker Solution a short while back. And I’ve been so busy the past few months, I haven’t really bothered to take care of my sneakers that much.
Two weeks back during the crazy down pour in NYC, I just happen to be out during the heaviest part of that rainy morning. I figured I’d wear my usual rain shoes, my Stash Air Force 1s. Disaster!! I just didn’t expect soo much rain to come down. Not only was I caught in the rain, there was flooding and gutter problems at a friends house that needed to be fixed. I didn’t have time to change my shoes nor did I have other shoes in my car. It was a sad day, my Stash Air Force 1 was probably going into the casket and never coming back out again. So I took out the Jason Markk Sneaker Solution to test, see the results below…

I know some of you guys are obsessed with keeping your sneakers clean. I get that way sometimes too, but have been a bit lazy on that end. Still there are certain pairs that I love to death so keeping them as clean as possible is most important. Yes, I’ve tried the toothbrush and soap solution and the Footlocker sneaker cleaner the FL employees seem to be overly excited about. I’ve been using the Mr Clean Magic Eraser but with all it’s magic I fear there maybe harmful chemicals that can ruin my favorite sneakers.
When Jason emailed about his new product, I didn’t know what to expect. A premium sneaker solution? The box just came in this weekend and the package just looks amazing. With Magic/All Star coming up, I may have to clean up a few favorite pairs to bring with me. Will test and let you guys know the results.
