Kanye and Jay-Z were known to perform “Ni**as in Paris” multiple times in one night during last year’s blockbuster “Watch the Throne” tour, and now fans have the opportunity to hit replay as many times as they could possibly want with the release of the video for the smash song. Filmed during the duo’s final tour stop at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last December, the clip is nothing short of a kaleidoscopic wonderland, featuring dizzying visuals to go along with the energy of the song and the electricity of the adoring crowd. It’s scattershot and frenetic — wait, is that Will Ferrell from “Blades of Glory”? — with an abundance of prowling feline imagery and gothic architecture. Oh, and lasers. Lots of lasers. Check out the video after the click.

To raise fund for his own charitable organization, Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund, and the New York chapter of United Way, Jay-Z will be hosting an intimate concert at New York City’s iconic Carnegie Hall on February 7th. First as a resident in Brookly’s Marcy public housing project, then as a upcoming hip-hop artist, entrepreneur, mogul, and more recently, a husband and father, the concert is a reflection of Jay-Z’s life and time as a New Yorker. It is also a testament to the age old saying “if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere”. Tickets for the concert are on sale now at Carnegie Hall’s online box office. As expected, the demands have already overwhelmed the event space’s website. However, you can also enter to win 2 free tickets by simply “like” Carnegie Hall’s Facebook page.

It was with a good reason why so many dubbed her as “the Princess of Hip-Hop”. Barely a week old, Blue Ivy Carter, the new born daughter of Jay-Z and Beyonce, becomes the youngest person to be on a BILLBOARD chart. Largely thanks to her well-connected father and advancement in technology, Blue Ivy was able to record a “duet” with Jay-Z at a very tender age of a few hours old. The outcome was “Glory – Featuring B.I.C.”, or Blue Ivy Carter, which launched within 48 hours of Blue Ivy’s birth. The song now sit on the No. 74 spot of BILLBOARD R&B/Hip-Hop Chart. Congratulation to Blue Ivy and her proud parents!

Who wants a silver spoon when you can have a suped-up Merecedes as your personal vehicle? While the outrage over Lenox Hill Hospital‘s over-the-top preferential treatment of Blue Ivy Carter continues, the 7-pound bundle of joy headed home with parents Jay-Z and Beyoncé on Tuesday. The newly crowned Princess of Hip-Hop also received her first taste of ultra-luxury in this customized Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Quipped with fully adjustable leather seats, satellite TV, mini-bar, and other must-have accessories for the rich and famous, Mercedes Sprinter Van Grand Edition whisked the famous couple and their newborn through the hospital’s loading dock yesterday. Security details in a fleet of blacked-out SUVs then escorted the vehicle to its destination to prevent any paparazzo from trailing behind. via: NYDailyNews

There’s still sometime before she can grasp the idea of fame and fortune, but Blue Ivy Carter, the new born daughter of Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles, became the most famous baby in the world over the weekend. To serenade this new bundle of joy in their lives, Jay-Z, with help from The Neptunes, penned “GLORY”, a modern day lullaby, to his little one’s first cries.
Life just got REALLY good.

The uber limited Nike LeBron 9 ‘Watch the Throne’ is the very definition of ‘cray’. With a rumored seven pairs in existence, this gaudiest of LeBron James sneakers has found its way only to the inner circle of Kanye West and Jay-Z, with G.O.O.D music affiliates like Big Sean getting their hands on a pair. It only makes sense for a sneaker based on an album so heavenly laden with high fashion namedrops to come across this flossy, with the detailing mimicking that of the Riccardo Tisci-designed album cover which riffed off his Givenchy work. The icing on the cake is of course the gold dubrae jewel piece crafted by Gabriel Urist, hands down the dopest accoutrement for some laces that we’ve ever seen. Follow us after the jump for an up close look at the meticulously made jewel piece, the icing on the cake for this wildly exclusive Nike Basketball release. via: Inside the Sneaker Box

These new images provide the best look yet at the uber-exclusive “Watch the Throne” edition of the Nike LeBron 9, created by Nike Basketball to commemorate Kanye and Jay-Z’s landmark album of the same name. The shoe is strikingly designed with a black base accented with flashes of gold at the Swoosh, heel and tongue, but the two features that send the sneaker over the top are the lushly florid pattern on the lining and laces, as well as the oversized “WTT” gold lace jewels. Both are obviously inspired by Riccardo Tisci’s album artwork, which is in turn reminiscent of the designer’s Resort 2012 collection for Givenchy. An icy outsole is the proverbial icing on the cake. via: Stickie213

Sneaker aficionados worldwide were agog at the initial images of the Nike LeBron 9 “Watch the Throne” when they surfaced online a month ago. As much as we claim to favor clean lines and classic styling, the incontrovertible truth is that many of us are drawn to the pomp and circumstance of flashy colors and ornate design. Perhaps the sensibility of excess espoused by Watch the Throne signals the swinging of the pendulum away from austerity toward extravagance — economic climate be damned — and explains the runaway success of H&M‘s collection with the house of Versace, a fashion label that was practically the ’90s avatar for conspicuous consumption. Yeezy, whose baroque-leaning sense of style heavily influenced Watch the Throne‘s album design, was recently spotted wearing a jacket from the line, and we can’t help observe the perfect footwear to finish the look would have been a pair of these special edition LeBron 9s. The rumor is there are only seven of these beauties in existence, one pair of which is now in the possession of rapper Big Sean, who’s currently opening for Kanye and Jay-Z on the Watch the Throne tour. Click through for more images that the rapper recently shared to a public still very much enraptured with these kicks. via: Big Sean’s Twitter
