Each season, COMME des GARÇONS designer Junya Watanabe teams up with Levi’s for a collaboration project, and this season is no exception. A vintage pair of jeans from 1966 was selected for their collaboration, heavily customized to visually translate the season’s work theme. Over-sized reinforcements on the thigh and knee areas create a totally unique aesthetic, coupled with large pockets on the upper thighs. Rear pockets have been moved slightly outwards, and in their place is hickory fabric, juxtaposed with the raw denim underneath. These jeans can be picked up at HAVEN retail store and online shop at the moment.

On the accessories tip, we’ve got a preview of their range of ties on the way for Spring/Summer 2012. Split between bow-ties and regular length pieces, the collection grabs a smart set of materials like linen and chambray for a cooler spring look. Made and designed for urban cyclist, Levi’s Commuter Trucker Jacket isn’t just a mere denim jacket with a tapered silhouette. Rather, it comes with numerous “bells & whistles” like a ventilation system, NanoSphere water repellant system, Sanitized anti-microbial coating, and adjustable tabs with 3M SCOTCHLITE reflective. Now, you can add Affinity Cycles’ designs to that list. Created at Levi’s home office in San Francisco, the special Levi’s Commuter Trucker Jacket, with Affinity Cycles collar lining and “A” logo print, was made for Affinity Cycles team members only. But the Brooklyn-base bike maker is offering one away as part of its holiday giveaway contest. Runner-ups will receive prizes.
