Yesterday, we reported on the Stussy x LUMINOX x Megabass box set, and now it looks like LUMINOX Japan is making more watches for the seabass fishing market. Usually these watches are made for the US Navy Seals, meaning these will perform under the most demanding conditions. Its signature Light Technology system allows for clear visibility of the dials anytime. This 8800 Seabass Edition model comes equipped with standard silicone wrist band and another long nylon strap made in conjunction with seabass label, Pazdesign. First 200 customers to purchase these watches will also receive a seabass lure from COREMAN. via: hayabusa.bz

Ordinarily, collaborations take place in one market segment yet this triple brand project shows the broad reach of the Stussy brand. Stussy are partnering with military grade watch maker, LUMINOX and bass fishing heavy weight Megabass to produce highly unique pieces. The limited edition box set includes the key merchandise from each brand and the highlight has to be the LUMINOX 3150 watch that is fully customized. Carbon fiber face is printed with familiar Stussy handwriting dials and features all three logos prominently. Leather and silicone wrist band gives options for work and play. Megabass created the special XPOD Jr. that incorporates the triple brand logos inside the translucent body. This box set is limited to only 1,000 units world wide and each watch and box is engraved by a serial number for authenticity. These will be going on sale from the end of August but stay tuned for the exact launch dates.

Luminox is no stranger to the collaboration game; past partnerships have included a few LUMINOX x Stussy watches, and the diving watch company has produced a few Japan-exclusive models as well. LUMINOX has been served well by the popularity in recent years of watches reminiscent of the 1980′s – note how J. Crew has jumped on the Timex Field and Camper watches. The basis for the LUMINOX x LUKER watch, the LUMINOX 3901, draws solidly on this throwback trend, with a solid 1980′s diving watch feel. As fans of the Neighborhood sub-brand LUKER By NEIGHBORHOOD will note, the watch is relatively toned down – a basic LUKER logo on the face, while the Velcro strap gets a simple black rubber LUKER patch, and a blue leather tip. The piece fits well within the current Luker body of design, and is a perfect summer watch for fans of the line. The watch features carbon fiber construction, and is scheduled for an April release; numbers are limited, but the piece can be pre-ordered now from Nano Universe. Check out detail shots of the watch after the jump.

The start of the new also marks the end of the old, that is the way Stussy and A Bathing Ape see it as both wrap up their collaborative collection, Survival of the Fittest, on the very first day of 2011. Black is the brand color of LUMINOX, and this latest F-117 Night Hawks Series II watch is totally blacked out in the Blackout colorway. Just like the F-117 Nighthawk itself, the watch posses the stealthy yet aggressive styling by changing up the logo and making the dials black. However, the functionality of the watch is not compromised as the hands and hour display are treated in luminescent coating which glows in the dark. The back casing of the time piece is etched with the F-117 Nighthawk and Lockheed Martin logo. via: Fieil

Any guy will be intrigued by a product affiliated with “Navy Seals” in any way, and LUMINOX have designed a new chronograph watch that has the seal of approval from the impregnable Navy Seals. LUMINOX watches are already rugged and tough as they are used by the military during combat. With its no nonsense design, the 3080 is an improvement on the popular 3050 model. The casing measures 47mm and is the perfectly versatile size for the battle field, beach or a night out. With the advancement of night vision optics, armed forces around the world, especially operators within the special operation branches, have adopted a new military doctrine – whoever owns the night, wins the war. For this reason and the visually appealing aspect of it, timepiece maker LUMINOX designed the Blackout Edition.

LUMINOX is a watch brand that is known for their precision and rugged exterior that is worn by various military units such as the army, navy, air force and even the Navy Seals. Though recently they have been popular for casual wear with its manly minimalistic design and high performance.
This Jet Black model is based on the popular 3050 series that debuted in 2006 and features a large face measuring 47mm in width. The all black version created here is Japan only limited edition which uses a full carbon fiber on its casing, bezel and back piece giving it an attractive look as well as reducing weight considerably making it 30g, light enough for daily use. It is water resistant to 200m and comes packaged in a custom case with bright red zipper matching the LUMINOX logo.

Though a newcomer when compared to its counterpart, timepiece maker LUMINOX still has a storied history nonetheless. It all begin in 1989 when Barry Cohen, co-founder of Richard Barry Marketing Group, discovered an unique, self-powered illumination technology by a small firm in Switzerland. After negotiation, Cohen procured the rights to utilize the technology and Luminox was born.
The new brand enjoyed a very moderate sales rate initially, until U.S. Navy‘s special operation branch, SEALs, approached Luminox with a proposal – designed a combat mission oriented diving watch with a night viewing capability. After 9 months of research and design, Luminox created 3000 Series, currently the original watch of the SEALs.
Utilizing the same technologies, Stussy recently created its own line of Luminox watches. Featuring Swiss-made quartz movement, a scratch resistant mineral crystal glass, the watch is water resistant to 200 meters and comes with a Stussy-made velcro wrist strap plus a special case. A interchangeable rubber strap is also available. All can be purchase online at Stussy Direct.
