Fatima is the best selling model from UBIQ and it is the basis of the collaboration model with streetwear brand MACKDADDY. Those who know the MACKDADDY brand will know that it is a very colorful and playful. These Fatima Mid sneakers convey the personality of MACKDADDY well in blue, black and red versions. Each sneaker is broken up into three color panels on the uppers which are made with corduroy materials. Basic white midsole brightens up the shoes and it is paired up with white shoe laces as well. UBIQ logo is situated on the tongue while the rear view is tightened up by MDY logo on the patch. These models will be available around early to mid September and Chapter in Tokyo are currently taking pre-orders.
The 2010 Summer Collection from MACKDADDY is titled Mad Audio Collector and from that collection is the original watch model, Rock Star Watch. Surprisingly the design of this watch is unlike most MACKDADDY products in that it is not flashy or pop colored. Taking a classic divers watch design with casing, bezel and wrist band made out of polished silver stainless steel for a mature aesthetic. Two versions are produced in white face and black face with silver hands. It is also water resistant that enables it to be used for casual or formal occasions. Date display is another classic touch that adds to the authentic style.
The Layers Camo is the current season’s original textile and it has already been applied to many items and now Summer Tweed Daypack have become available by MACKDADDY. An outdoor backpack style have been adopted with two large zipped compartments on the front. Large opening of the main compartment can be closed by a large flap cover fastened by two black straps. As with all of the other items in the collection, two colorways are made in green camo or blue camo. Created from 2-tone patent leather, the Saddle Shoes from MACKDADDY sit on top of a comfortable, lightweight EVA foam outsole, a design remnants of its sneaker. However, the most intriguing aspects are the metallic stud details along the bisect areas – creative cues MACKDADDY took from old fashion bike seats, also called bike saddles in some parts of the world. Available in 2 colorways, the Saddle Shoes are now on sale at MACKDADDY retail locations across Japan and its HEIGHT flagship store in Tokyo.
A classic button down shirt has been rearranged by MACKDADDY for the Spring/Summer 2010 collection. The focal point of these shirts are undoubtedly the original camouflage textile that has been designed for this season. Two color combinations are produced in blue camouflage tones or gray camouflage tones. Also the fabric is given a washed out treatment that makes it look a little used and vintage. On the back of the shirt is a medium sized MACK print also in a washed out screen print. Cuffs are also given a little highlight with a white reinforcement that provides color from the rear view.
New Spring/Summer 2010 collection has dropped from Japanese brand MACKDADDY and their first deliveries have already started to hit the shelves in Japan. The collection is titled Layers and various custom patterns are designed for this collection. One of the original pattern is this camouflage design.
Unlike traditional military camouflage, these custom designs are much more washed out with similar tones that make it easy on the eyes. Two versions of the camo pattern is made in blue and gray base tones. Other models use a solid color on the exterior with a gold zipper on the front and collar which stores the hood. Inner lining uses gingham check pattern and is unified through out the different styles.
Japanese street wear brand MACKDADDY is teaming up with UBIQ on its popular eL sneaker model calling it eL MACKDADDY. The sneaker combines a slip on and boot style silhouette that is brighten up by mix use of pop and toned down materials. Two colorways of grey or brown is delivered in a signature MACKDADDY way by playing with textures on the uppers. On the toe and heel panels soft quilted material is used and contrasted by bright striped side panels, inner lining and tongue tags. Adjustable strap on the ankle is another key feature of the sneaker adding accent to the simple exterior. These sneakers will be available late January to early February and atmos is taking pre orders currently.
After creating a party-useful tee to celebrate Hello Kitty’s 35th Anniversary, MACKDADDY brings its playful humor to its collaboration with G-Shock. The Japanese label partners up with Casio’s toughest and dresses the classic shock resistant DW-5500 in a preppy happy pink plus green color combo. Featuring MACKDADDY’s type logo on the watch strap and graphic logo on the watch face, the happy number will be available at on Nov 20.
As we have reported earlier regarding the 35th Anniversary of Hello Kitty as she is probably the most famous Sanrio character around the world and Hello Kitty is still at the forefront of girlie characters.
They have gotten together with various Japanese brands to celebrate the occasion and here is a look at the t-shirts designed by MACKDADDY which is designed for both men and women. The graphic plays on the “Hello My Name Is” sticker idea and places it inside the famous face of Hello Kitty. For the mens the sticker like design is repeated several times while for the womens only one design is used. Both of these t-shirts are scheduled to be on sale around late December and Eproze is taking pre orders right now.
Taking a pop approach to street wear is Tokyo’s MACKDADDY known for their bright colors and over designed items viewing the culture from a different angle than most. They have recently dropped the Mack Boyz Shoes that takes inspiration and pays homage to their favourite basketball player of all time. These pairs you see here are the online exclusives that come with shiny satin fabrics on the upper with smooth nubuck used on the toe, heel and tongue sections. The sole features the MACKDADDY signature flat outsole with their logo largely imprinted. Blue/silver or silver/purple colorways are currently available only through their online shop.
Here is a look into the up coming drop from Japanese brand MACKDADDY, who has been going strong for about a decade in Tokyo. The obvious influence can be spotted from the design and it’s name but the Mack Sk8 offers new bright colorway to the simple classic skate shoes we know and love. MACKDADDY is a brand know for their crazy colors and designs and the combination of patent leather and suede captures their personality. Even the quirky MACKDADDY logo on the outsole is designed so that every time the shoes is worn, their logo get imprinted on the ground as footprints. There are three colors available in blue, pink and yellow and will be available for purchase very soon.
The man known around the world as King of Digging and one of the pioneers and godfathers of Japanese hip hop scene Muro have collaborated with MACKDADDY on this 100% wool number. The M2B2 jacket was loosely designed by Muro himself and MACKDADDY came through to lock down the fabics and details. The jacket comes in two colorways, black and brown with details that reminds of a leather riders jacket, such as zipped sleeve, zipped pocket on the right shoulder and zipped front with buttoned cover hiding the zip totally. Also this item is accompanied by a mix CD exclusively mixed by Muro himself.
