As previously reported, Japanese footwear label, MADFOOT!, has decided to immortalize one of Japan’s favorite cartoon characters, the almighty Doraemon with a magic pocket (well, technically, it’s scientifically advanced, but it’s almost magical nonetheless) into a capsule collection of sneakers. We had previously showcased the white leather embossed version from the Doraemon Monochrome Pack, and now we have a look at the rest of the collection which includes the strappy high-top sneakers rendered in all-over Doraemon prints. There are four versions in this pack, one in white with black Doraemon heads printed, the other in black leather with printed white Doraemon heads, and two which are more subtle as the Doraemons are embossed on the leather. The Doraemon Monochrome Pack has been featured on the debut issue of ASBee, a new sneaker lifestyle magazine by retailer, ASBee. There is no doubt that Doraemon has been a big part of the anime and comic culture in Japan and around the world. For those who are unfamiliar, Doraemon is a robotic cat from the future with endless gadgets hidden in his pocket on the stomach. Japanese footwear brand MADFOOT! got together with online store ASBee to release exclusive Doraemon Monochrome Pack.
Base sneaker model is the hi top MAD STORM Hi and the sneaker features Doraemon embossed on the whole upper as all over graphic. Inside the inner lining is the clock pattern that always appear when they venture into future or the past in their time machine. To finish off the sneaker, there are gold bells on the laces which is one of the icons of Doraemon. These will be released on September 3rd which also coincides with the birth day of Doraemon, although technically he was born in the year 2112.
In introducing the newest model, Japanese footwear label MADFOOT! Will be launching a special version of its new BOM sneaker via exclusively through EPROZE online store in ZOZO shopping network. Named BOM Type 4, a layer of perforated leather bisected patent leather upper. Metallic studs dotted along the different portions to further accentuate the design, the collaborative edition is finished with bright red stripes on both tongue and heel pull.
Limited to 300 pairs, the EPROZE x MADFOOT! BOM Type 4 will only be available through EPROZE starting September of this year. However, interested partier could reserved a pair now before the general release also through EPROZE.
Perfect for the Fall Winter season, MADFOOT! have released something a little less ordinary for them, mountain boots. Perhaps they are best known for the colorful sneakers but this toned down version of Mad Lander is easy to match for any outfit. Consisting of two colorways, black and sand, that is accented well by shiny silver lace loops that run all the way from the front to the ankle section. Suede upper is used primarily with smooth leather on the ankle padding and synthetic fabric on the heel to prevent wear and tear. Finished off with cream shark tooth soles, color coded MADFOOT! tag on the tongue and matching shoe laces. Currently available at MADFOOT! dealers around the world.
Partly because of its loyal following, Japanese sneaker label MADFOOT! is able to experiment with the composition of its footwear more often than its larger counterparts. One example is the recent release MAD PREDATOR HI. Constructed from patent leather panels of purple or green, both are outlined by a broad bands of black patent leather with an unique additive. Each is dusted with fine metallic speckles before the clear coat application. The process gives the new MAD PREDATOR HI an additional gleam in certain lighting condition. The new MADFOOT! MAD PREDATOR HI is now available at selected MADFOOT! dealers, such as eproze of ZOZOTOWN, and MADFOOT!’s official online store.

Can’t get enough of metallic print sneakers? Japanese label MADFOOT introduced its own version of the metallic pack, in the form of a silver and black/gold MAD DAAAM 1 sneakers. Marked all over with perforation of large and small sizes, the inner lining doubled as a barrier to keep the elements from getting in. Of course, plenty of details were incorporated, such as the “MAD” marking on the gum rubber treads and reflective heel tab. Currently available at MADFOOT! retailers and eproze online store, part of the ZOZOTOWN shopping network.

Japanese music pioneer, DJ Muro, recently collaborated with apparel label MACKDADDY and footwear maker MADFOOT! in the design of the unique version of the MADMACK 7. Featuring Muro’s signature colors: green, red, & black, along with his logo on the upper front. It features the same hiking boot-like characteristics, with a sneaker-like rubber sole and comfort. Similar to all other versions of the MADMACK .
Limited to only 200 pairs across Japan, available now at MACKDADDY retailers as well as online shop such as eproze of ZOZOTOWN.

Japanese apparel label MACKDADDY just release its latest footwear, from an ongoing collaboration with footwear label MADFOOT! This 7th installment features hiking boot-like characteristics, such as padded uppers. But with a sneaker-like rubber sole and comfort. Making this an ideal combo for urban terrains.
Comes in 2 bright colorways, both with the cracked concrete/elephant skin patterns. Now available at MACKDADDY retailers across Japan, as well as online shop such as eproze of ZOZOTOWN.

Our friends at MADFOOT! gave us a brief preview of new releases for this month. The label just added more colorways for MAD WITNESS, MAD PROFESSOR, and MAD BASE LO. A brand new model, MAD TEX, will be introduce this month as well. Here are some of the breakdowns:
- MAD TEX – Comfort of a sneaker but sturdy as boots, it is ready to take on all types of environment. It comes in 2 colorways: Black/Yellow/Green & Mocha/Beige/Red
- MAD PROFESSOR – MADFOOT!’s signature model, using patent leather & suede/leather with applications of vivid color palettes. In Navy/Ivory/Green and Grey/Yellow/Orange.
- MAD BASE MID – Cotton with added hemp upper, with red and green leather accents. In colorway Black/Green/Red.

MADFOOT!‘s new addition to its apparel line for Summer 2007, the polo shirt features MADFOOT!’s new mascot, MAD KUN, a crazed squirrel in mad scientist outfit. The polo shirt comes white, gray, and black. Only available exclusively at eproze of ZOZOTOWN network and MADFOOT!’s online store.

The recent start-up Japanese brand Optimystik joined with MADFOOT! once again, for their 2nd collaboration project – MAD ONE Optimystik Exclusive. Based on the MAD ONE model, this special edition is made of entirely white patent leather. However, a close-up look reveal patterns and lines on the leather upper. Turn off the light and the hidden patterns appear in full view. Etched in glow-in-the-dark pigment, the pattern is actually a version of Optimystik’s Blink Camouflage, a camo based on outlines of tropical vegetation and animals.
The MADFOOT! x Optimystik MAD ONE will be release in limited number this coming Novemeber. However, if you live in Japan, you pre-order the sneaker at eproze, part of ZOZOTOWN network.
