With February right around the corner, it’s reasonable to expect more and more romantically inclined goods from all corners. And while MEDICOM TOY has already shown off their official Valentine’s Day BE@RBrick, it’s hard to take a look at the ‘Cute Kiss’ model shown here and not get a similar feel. Even better, this one comes in at 400% size vs. the 100% of the aforementioned model, and believe us size does matter. The half and half graphic on the toy features a boy and girl character meeting in the middle for a kiss, with a healthy dose of pink to cement the cutesy theme. This past December Medicom Toy launched the BE@RBRICK World Wide Tour 2 in Tokyo, in which a total of 73 different 1000% BE@RBRICKs, each customized by a different artist or brand, were put on display. The exhibit included a Stussy BE@RBRICK design inspired by a vintage Shawn Stussy surfboard from the 1980s. Cast in a bright yellow hue, the figure was adorned with a stylized underwater motif, featuring colored bubbles and fishes formed with zigzag lines. Stussy is celebrating the BE@ARBRICK World Wide Tour with the release of a 100% and 400% Stussy BE@RBRICK, both of which can be purchased now through Stussy’s webstore.

In light of BE@RBRICK World Wide Tour 2, an exhibition of all-thing related to the popular mini bear-shape figurine, its maker MEDICOM TOY announced a special BE@RBRICK Edition of Nike Air Force 1 Premium. Amongst the limited edition BE@RBRICK figures from MEDICOM TOY, the model that attracts much attention from collectors is the Chogokin versions. The metal BE@RBRICK is not only limited in numbers but so far there have only been 9 designs released under this super exclusive series. Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration marks the 9th figure in the series and it features the cursed Jack Sparrow print over the shiny body. At this point, there are no confirmation on how many will be made but these look to be available at the MEDICOM TOY 15th Anniversary Exhibition in Tokyo and Project 1/6 online store.

MEDICOM TOY is celebrating their 15th birthday and rather than receive gifts, they have made a special 1000% BE@RBRICK. Instead of a simple BE@BRICK, they have opted for the My First BE@RBRICK B@BY platform. This means the body is transparent and it is filled with tricolor balls in the MEDICOM TOY brand colors, red, blue and yellow. Rest of the figure is left plain in white and the back of the figure is printed with a number 15 signifying the anniversary. These are currently available at Project 1/6 online store in Japan, however they are not shipping overseas, which means it’s time to get in touch with your Japanese friends.

Collectors of Medicom Toy BE@RBRICKS will want to start saving immediately for this one: the BE@RBRICK Horizon 400%, finished by hand and made from Karimoku, a Japanese furniture maker that specializes in wood. Seemingly constructed with layer upon layer of different types of wood, this unique piece should be coveted by Medicom Toy connoisseurs. The special edition BE@RBRICK will drop on July 30th. via: toybeast

Nobody can deny the popularity of NARUTO and NARUTO Shippuden cartoon series. This manga/anime franchise by Masashi Kishimoto is truly a force to reckon with. Broadcast currently in over 90 countries, not to mention all the pirated downloads on Internet and the 100+ million copies of printed matters sold, it is probably one of the most successful cross over from Japan to the world. And in a true pop culture fashion, the Fox Demon himself is now a BE@RBRICK figure in 100% and 400% versions by MEDICOM TOY. Comes as a single piece or as a set, this collaboration was made exclusively for Brasyna JAPAN and to be sold only on its website. With “Google-Jutsu” and some digging around the Internet, we’re pretty sure fans will find them to be available soon elsewhere.

They come in different colors, with stripes, dots, stripes, length and odd shapes. This week, Swedish sensation Happy Socks has one more trait to claim, its very own BE@RBRICK. Outlandishly fun to wear yet discreet by nature, so beloved were these wild hosieries that BE@RBRICK maker MEDICOM TOY CO. approached Happy Socks with a collaborative project. Nearly a year later, Happy Sock delivered its own version of the popular toy – a tattooed, mustachioed figure with a love of hot dogs and soda. Odd theme but perhaps this is where our Swedish friends get their inspirations from. Comes with a matching set of Happy Socks, the Happy Socks x BE@RBRICK Pack is now available at select Happy Socks retailer, like SIX FEET DOWN of Caliroots and the pack’s very own microsite.
