In two colorways and accompanied by a special postcard, official release dates are still yet to be set but stay tuned here for the update.

In the midst of laughter, good company, and an alcohol concoction by the name “Legendry Croctail” (yes, Croctail), LACOSTE launched its Legends Collection last evening at New York City’s Bloomingdale’s department store. The collection, which is to celebrate the iconic L.12.12 pique cotton polo shirt, enlisted help from 12 specialists in the field of art, design, media, and retail. Each participant, icon in their own right, was able to create a pair of LACOSTE sneakers that is now the basis of the LACOSTE Legends Collection. All 12 editions are now available at Bloomingdale’s No. 59 Metro section on East 59 th Street here in New York. A wider distribution will take place this weekend as the collection is set to launch at select LACOSTE retail locations.

Tennis legend and brand founder of LACOSTE, Rene Lacoste invented the “L.12.12“, which is the origin of the modern polo shirt design. Undoubtedly, LACOSTE has changed the tennis uniform, but he has also influenced the daily wear and fashion scene with his design. For the Lacoste Legends Collection, LACOSTE reached out to the legends of the moment from various disciplines, ranging from music (Jazzy B, Sebastien Tellier and Stones Throw), design (Christophe Lemaire, Tim Hamilton and ato), media (Shoes Master, Sneaker Freaker and i-D) and retail stores (Colette, Bodega and D-Mop). Various sneaker models were redesigned in the signature style of the collaborating brands, and each sneaker is individual and unique. Online store FLAUGE is currently taking pre-orders of the sneakers, which are scheduled for release in mid December.

Stussy and Los Angeles independent record label, Stones Throw Records, have collaborated on a small capsule collection that consists of an button-up Oxford shirt and a couple silk neck ties and scarves. The button-up Oxford comes in White but features a Stussy and Stones Throw Records monogram on the left chest pocket. The silk ties feature a monogram print of the same logo and come in two different colors while the silk scarves simply feature the logo screenprinted on one side of the garment. This collection is available starting today at select Stussy Japan retailers and should make it’s way over to the US shortly.

There are a few things that give homey comfort to a steamy summer like no other. One, home-made lemonade (extra points if it’s from a seven year-old’s ramshackle stand); two, girls who look like Zooey Deschanel in daisy dukes; and last but not least, some great motown tunes. In comes Stonesthrow’s latest superstar, Mayer Hawthorne whose charismatically innocent voice has ladies enraptured even though many of his lyrics should break girls’ heart everywhere. Or at least cause an indignant protest. Well, at least with “It Just Ain’t Gonna Work Out”. But, with his latest video drop for “Your Easy Lovin’ Ain’t Pleasin’ Nothin’” from album, A Strange Arrangement, should have the ladies back on his good side (if they ever left because of the ridiculous protagonist in “Just Ain’t Gonna Work Out”). As for the men, check out girls in shorts dancing, summer sunshine and bottles and bottles of happiness. Now, where’s that lemonade?
(On the side note: check out Hawthorne’s suit by LRG and customized sneaker by Jon Goodman.)

Japanese online magazine Defrag have interviewed countless street personalities in the past and the latest in their Profile series is DJ, producer and record label owner Peanut Butter Wolf from Stones Throw. It was filmed during his latest visit to Tokyo during a tour with his artist Dam Funk and as usual the casual format of the interviewing style takes an insight into the famed Hip Hop figure. The short interview explores the early days of Stones Throw and its roots as well as the musical influence of Peanut Butter Wolf himself. Click play and take a peek into the mind of the man behind Stones Throw.
With many still skeptical of the iPad or not convinced of its functionality and shrug it off as a gimmick, here is a footage by Incase that may change your mind. Stones Throw recording artist Oh No is featured in this short video in which Oh No himself uses multiple iPads with the Korg iElectribe App to produce his raw sounds. Protecting the iPad from all elements is the Grip Protective Cover by Incase that countours the device by the flex-fit construction that hugs the iPad. The result is a grippy and easy to carry iPad allowing the user flexibility to use it anywhere without the worry of dropping it or damaging it.
