If there’s any one sneaker company with a particular affection for themed releases it has to be Supra, with the Crown Brand constantly cranking out two and three pair packs that are unified in their overall aesthetic. With that being said it seemed pretty obvious that they wouldn’t let Valentines Day go without pumping out some sneakers to go along with that special day in the middle of February. And they are indeed delivering in the form of the Love Pack, at three part collection that includes the Cuttler Low, the Society Mid, and the Skytop. The full range of heights keeps things versatile, each one coming with a crackled blood red upper with their signature TUF finish applied. This year’s Valentine’s-themed “Heartbreaker” from Supra takes the form of the towering Society silhouette. Built with an upper crafted from red suede and Express TUF canvas, the shoe sits on a black vulcanized sole with white foxing adorned with red stripes. Additional details include complementary white pinstripes at the back of the collar, plus a red broken-heart graphic on each pitch-black footbed. A custom broken-heart hang tag finishes the look. The production run on the Society Heartbreaker II is limited to just 413, with each pair individually numbered. Supra presents a video profile of team rider Spencer Hamilton. Spencer explains his still developing career trajectory, from first hearing about Supra in 2006 and subsequently meeting the team — as he describes them, “all the biggest heads” — when they stopped in during a Canadian tour for a signing at the skate shop where he worked. Cut to present day, in which Spencer finds himself in London to sit for the team photo, surrounded by guys he once looked up to and now counts as peers. Supra presents the Passion of the Lizard King. No, not a Martin Scorsese-directed biopic about Doors frontman Jim Morrison. The vulcanized Passion mid top is the Lizard King’s new signature shoe, featuring a unique padded canvas flap along the collar for extra support, plus Suprafoam midsole for shock absorption, flex and board feel. The desert boot-inspired shoe is dressed in a suede upper with clean, simple lines, making it versatile enough to wear when not rolling on polyurethane wheels. “NYC Magic” is the aptly titled video from Supra and TransWorld Skateboarding chronicling the Supra team’s trip to New York last year. Shot by Chris Thiessen, Richard Quintero and Dennis Martin, the seven-minute clip shows the guys exploring the city’s skate parks and concrete canyons (not to mention graffiti-riddled rooftops). A juxtaposition of canvas and Supra TUF upper in all red, this new gesture of love features gold eyelets, trims, plus a white foxing with red pinstripe. Supra has never been shy about their influences, frequently dipping into the DNA of other footwear brands for homage colorways as well as design elements here and there. So when the skate brand flips the script and puts together a running sneaker, you’d expect the inspiration to be evident. It was more than a mere sneaker release this past Saturday when Supra unleashed the all reflective Just Blaze x Supra Skytop II. Instead, the mega-producer joined friend and families for for a birthday bash at Supra’s New York City flagship also. Among the party goers were well-wisher like Hawaii Mike, Set Free, the beautiful Joy Claire, Brittany Rose and dozens of Supra customers who received VIP passes to the event. And thanks to non-stop spins from Young Guru and DJ Soul, documentation by the one and only Mel D. Cole, and ginormous sneaker-cake in the likeness of the Just Blaze x Supra Skytop II, the party continued on to the late evening hours.

If Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. were still alive today, he would be celebrating his 83rd birthday on Sunday, January 15th. In a bid to remember and honor the great man, Supra has prepared a special pair of sneakers, dubbed the MLK Vaider. The all-black exterior features Raptor TUF material on the uppers, matched by all-black soles, interior and shoe laces. Gold highlights can be found on the metallic lace holes, piping on the tongue and Supra logos throughout the footwear. These sneakers have already been shipped to Supra dealers worldwide and are in stock on their online store as well.

Best known as the producer of Jay-Z‘s three chart-topping albums – “The Blueprint”, “The Blueprint 2″, and “The Black Album”, Just Blaze also occasionally doubles as a television host. With all these job titles and responsibilities, Blaze still finds time to design his very own Supra Skytop II. A special release to celebrate the famous sneaker aficionado’s birthday on January 8th, the Just Blaze x Supra Skytop II features a flash of brilliance – an upper made entirely out of grey and purple reflective leather. A new rendition of the classic Skytop has unveiled from Supra, taking influence from rugged work boots. Aptly named the Skymoc, this boot-like sneaker features heavy duty moccasin stitching on its toe box. Two-toned round laces, metal eyelets and unlined raw leather interior all work together to emphasize the theme further. The exterior is constructed from black and burgundy full grain leather and each pair is wrapped in a crepe textured, white foxing on the midsoles. Supra have partnered with Pick Your Shoes to launch these sneakers and US fans should hit up the online shop of Pick Your Shoes and Supra right now.

As far as Skytops are concerned, Supra have released countless versions of the top selling model. A surprise treat will be dropping for Supra fans a day before Christmas, a great excuse for last minute Christmas shopping. The high top sneakers are coordinated in all black everything, sans the extra tall, single wrapped white foxing.
