Basing their design on traditional Western shirts, White Mountaineering added their twist to the classic silhouette. This new Western is constructed from three different check fabrics, which are evenly distributed on the various panels to make up the shirt. Instead of using ordinary plastic buttons, they have opted to use original snap buttons that are usually seen on their technical outerwear, giving the piece a modern aesthetic. On the inside, all of the seams are taped using branded taping – normally used on their technical outerwear as well – which provides additional durability. White Mountaineering 6oz. Denim Hooded Coat

As we hope for the weather to warm up, White Mountaineering is preparing for better days with the release of this 6oz. Denim Hooded Coat from their Spring 2012 releases. This lightweight indigo denim coat is constructed in a similar manner as their tech jackets, however it features velour trim instead of water-resistant taping on the outer seams. Thick drawcords are fitted onto the hood and hem, balancing out the cream-colored trim. Cream-colored snap buttons are used on the front opening as well, with every second button hidden from view. White Mountaineering Isetan Shinjuku Mens Store Opening Collection

White Mountaineering recently moved their flagship store to a larger space in Ometesando, however more expansion is planned for this year. The Isetan Shinjuku Men’s plays a pivotal role in offering the latest menswear from Japan and around the world, and this will be home for their second store in Tokyo. Several articles of outerwear have made their way, including this Pertex Yarn Dyed Check Mix Hooded Jacket. The outer shell is constructed from nylon Pertex material, known for its water- and wind-resistant properties, as well as its breathability. There are additional leather panels on the shoulders, showing influence from cowboy culture which the collection was inspired from. White Mountaineering Spring/Summer 2012 Footwear Collection

Brown, grey and blue hues dominate the Spring/Summer 2012 Dune Rover collection from White Mountaineering and the same palette is used widely on their footwear range as well. From sneakers to boots, there are sixteen styles in total that span over four different models. Both of the low and high cut sneakers feature three custom designed fabrics, Cotton Jacquard Batik, Cotton Mini Jacquard and Flower Camo Print, on its uppers with leather reinforcements holding the sneakers in shape. On the contrary, the Embroidered Wallaby Boots and Western Work Boots are made from premium leather materials on the uppers which are embroidered with intricate designs. White Mountaineering x PORTER Spring/Summer 2012 Used Denim Accessories

In few months time White Mountaineering will start to deliver their Spring/Summer 2012 pieces into retailers around the world. Included in the Dune Rover collection are some collaboration items with PORTER. We took a glance at them in their runway show, but here we can take a look at it in more detail. The collection is inspired by desert landscapes and cowboy culture, therefore these accessories were made from used denim materials. All three bags are constructed from indigo colored denim and shows a distinct character of wear and tear. Brown and cream leather details refer back to the cowboy theme and adds color to the monotone items. Expect these items to reach White Mountaineering stores and dealers next year.

White Mountaineering Gore Tex Herringbone N 3B Boa Jacket

Military silhouettes have always been an influence for streetwear, and Yosuke Aizawa of White Mountaineering tries his hand at reinterpreting the classic N-3B jacket. Even though the classic silhouette is retained, the outer shell uses the latest from the Gore-Tex catalog. Gore-Tex Performance Shell material is used on the exterior with a Primaloft ONE insulation system implemented on the interior. Large hand warmer pockets on the chest dwarf the two waist pockets, offering ample functionality. Tonal suede leather reinforces the elbows, under arm and pockets, hinting influence from the traditional design. White Mountaineering Whymper Grey Leopard Sneakers

The Whymper model is a new addition to the footwear range of White Mountaineering. Launched as part of the Fall/Winter 2011 collection, the high cut sneaker makes its presence known with the faux fur leopard printed material on the uppers. The rest of the uppers are made from soft leather and suede materials in gray monotone, balanced out by the clean white rubber soles. Mountaineering inspiration is expressed by the use of D-ring lace loops and metal eyelets in matte black color. White Mountaineering Gore Tex Check Duffle Coat

Taking inspiration from traditional outdoor wear, White Mountaineering has launched a brand new Gore-Tex Check Duffle Coat that mixes best of old and new styles. The red and green check material is made from premium wool fabric, which is blended with Gore-Tex layer to achieve water resistance and wind proofing. Horn toggle fasteners are fitted on the front, achieving the classic duffle coat style, yet there are zipper and snap buttons underneath the front cover flap.
