Taken inspirations from the period ruled by The Hanoverians, England’s ruling family from 1714 to 1837 (which resulted in 4 kings named George), designers Eddie Pendergast and Marco Cairns established The DUFFER of St. GEORGE in 1984, as a label of which to update traditional Anglo-Saxon looks with contemporary materials and forms.  The result is a unique collection with a mix of new yet familiar look.

Recently, the brand collaborated with UK-based Michael Linnell, the official mailroom & postal supplies manufacturer for Royal Mail of England, in producing a collaborative messenger bag. Based of the Michael Linnell’s satchel, a The DUFFER of St. GEORGE crest replaced where the “Royal Mail” imprint should be. Large reflective stripe can be found on the flap enclosure, with additional reflective stripes on both sides of the bag. available in red and black, the DUFFER of St. GEORGE x Michael Linnell - Messenger Bag  retails for JP¥ 12,390 (~US$ 112) at The DUFFER of St. GEORGE branch within the ZOZOTOWN online shopping network.  Also available at DUFFER of St. GEORGE retail locations across Japan.

Determined not to be out done by its Italian counterpart, Japanese premium denim label, Evisu, just introduced its own line of timepiece.  The new collection, named EVISUISSE, a play on the words “Evisu” and “Swiss”.  Each of the 12 timepiece is crafted by hand at the epicenter of premiere watch engineering, Bienne, Switzerland. A wide range of styles, from traditional analog form to contemporary hi-tech digital output, all include the industry standard Swiss ETA movement, sapphire coating lens, and marine grade stainless steel casing.  The 3 automatic models: Suzuka - Gold, Shiro -White, and Shiro-Black, actually consist of Swiss self-widening 18 jewels movement with date, ticking at 21,600 times an hour.  Water resistance range from 50 meter to 100 meter. All 12 models are now on sale at Evisu retail locations around the globe and its official international online store.

After 3 seasons, the collaboration between Raf Simons and Eastpak is still going strong and continue to win fanfare for its conservative appearance yet unorthodox silhouettes. Premiere during Berlin Fashion Week last month, Eastpak showcased the capsule collection for Spring 2009 season.  Continue on Simons’ affection on oversize silhouettes, the new collection will feature totes and messenger bags in canvas, denim, and mesh.  Priced around US$ 208 - US$ 506, the collection will arrive in exclusive retailers such as Barneys New York, Lane Crawford, and Dover Street Market early part of next year.  Via: NY Times

Through the success of their previous collaboration on EVO Navy SEALs timepiece, Stussy once again collaborated with watch maker Luminox in creating a special edition in Grey. Featuring a carbon reinforced, polymer injection molded casing with Swiss-made quartz movement, a scratch resistant mineral crystal glass, self-powered illumination, and a special watch face with graphics by another recent Stussy collaborator, graf artist Delta.  The watch is water resistant to 200 meters and comes with a special zipped case.
