Seen first on Original Fake official website as a splash page, the Original Fake Messenger Bag will be release at several selected Original Fake retailers worldwide starting tomorrow, including the Original Fake flagship at Aoyama, Tokyo, and INVINCIBLE in Taipei.  Designed with retailer Gallery 1950 (G1950) and YOSHIDA & CO., the maker of PORTER label accessories, the triple collaboration messenger bag comes with a diagonal pocket (in KAWS’ Teeth graphic) across the exterior flap.  Interior, lined with bright blue waterproof vinyl, is printed with logo from both companies along with KAWS JPP figure.  As with any Original Fake merchandises, units are limited to a hand only.

Holiday season is upon us already!  Both retailers and labels are gearing up for Holiday 2008 with distinctive and special collection.  Though usually consider as a capsule collection, some, like Mishka, have forgo that concept and launched a full range collection instead.

Named “Exotica”, the Mishka Holiday 2008 Lookbook previews a collection filled with jackets, such as the popular Zeitgeist M-65 Jacket, Deather Adders Varsity Jacket, and Corduroy Coaches Jacket.  Other styles in the collection including Keep Watch Sweater, imprinted with Mishka’s signature eyeball graphic, 100% cotton Green River Flannel Shirt, in addition to the countless graphic scarfs, gloves, New Era caps and other accessories.  All are due to release in the coming weeks at Mishka retailers

A new entry to accessory maker SAG (or SAGLIFE)’s product lineup.  The SAG collaboration with Japanese brand PUSH CONNECTION is roughly based on SAG’s Megatron model, a popular backpack in a manageable daypack size.  However, the similarity ends there.  Instead of the conventional nylon outershell, this new collaboration is entirely made of stain-resistant felt (or velvet) fabric.  The unique outershell was further accentuated with croc-skin details on the front panel and shoulder straps.  Interior is lined with water-proof plaid lining in red & blue.  Another unique feature is the pack’s modular storage system.  Like actual backpack used by the military, Velcro panels dotted the bag’s interior and exterior, allowing users to swap storage units, even flip portions of the front panel inside out.

The SAGLIFE x PUSH CONNECTION - Velvet Backpack will be available for purchase in April 2009.  As usual, Japanese shopping network ZOZOTOWN will offer pre-launch reservation on its ARMTH chapter.

Another shipment of new product from Original Fake’s Winter 2008 Collection will hit retailers worldwide starting this weekend, including the XX Hoodie and the Teeth Scarfs (seen above).  Made of 100% heavy weight cotton,  the XX Hoodie comes in an all-black colorway, with KAWS’ signature XX marking embroidered along side vents on both left and right.  A repeat of the details can be found on the matching zipper, each custom made for this hoodie.  The embroidered XX markings are available in 4 different colors.  Another great item from this new launch is the Teeth Scarfs.  A repeat of the popular Teeth New Era Cap, released over the Summer.  The Teeth Scarfs feature, of course, a row of pearly whites and continue down 1 side of the scarf.  Comes in 3 different colors, the dual layer neck warmer is also a great transitional accessory, made from 50% cashmere and 50% cotton.

Both these and other items will be available starting this Saturday, November 8th, at Original Fake dealers, including INVINCIBLE of Taipei.

After its recent collaborations with LTD and Hellz Bellz, watch maker NOOKA teamed up with designer and retailer Kidrobot in producing a limited edition timepiece.  Based on the popular NOOKA Zub model with the signature Zen-H watch face, the NOOKA x Kidrobot - Koolabooration Zub Watch will feature an offset print of the famous “Kid Robot”  on the wrist band.  With only 1000 units available, the watch is scheduled to release at Kidrobot locations and online next week, follow by a wider product launch by NOOKA end of this month.

With the 50th anniversary of Davis’ touchstone album, “Kind of Blue”, Supreme collaborated with the Miles Davis Foundation and Sony Music on a trio of Limited Edition album re-releases.  Kind of Blue, Nefertiti, and On the Corner have all been digitally remastered for enhanced sound clarity while maintaining all original 12″ album cover art.  Supreme has produced three different shirts to accompany each corresponding album.  The albums and the tees will be available November 6th in both Supreme NY and LA while online sales will begin on the 10th.  Sale of this collaboration at Supreme Japan will begin November 8th.

As cold fronts moves in and winter temperature begins to set.  Original Fake just released its first collection for Winter 2008.  Meant for the transitional nature between Fall and Winter, this first series of apparels and accessories are lighter than the heftier products to come later on.  But still retain the same high-tech quality, like GORE-TEX membrane and the GORE Windstopper insulation.  One interesting item is the Down Room Shoes (seen above), an down insulated, waterproof indoor slipper that took its design cues from surgical booties.  The first run of Original Fake Winter 2008 Collection is now available at INVINCIBLE of Taipei.
