Nike Sportswear - Nike Sportswear Store Tokyo - Terminator Hi Premium

Similar to the opening of its flagship on 21 Mercer Street in New York, Nike Sportswear will launch a limited selection of products for its Nike Sportswear Store’s Grand Opening in Tokyo this Saturday. One of the limited selection includes the Terminator Hi Premium, heavily revised into a hiking boots with its d-ring lacing and padded ankle collar.  One other is the Nike Zoom Air Macroplus, a chukka-like boot covered in thermal fleece, on a single piece foam sole with full length Zoom Air cushion.  Last but not least, the new Nike Sportswear Store will be another location to purchase the anticipated Zoom Air Tennis Classic HF - a collaboration collection between Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design and Nike, that is set for its global launch this Saturday as well.

Opening this Saturday, October 11th, the Nike Sportswear Store Tokyo will offer exclusive products and services, such as the new Nike iD Studio.  It will also be the only location in Asia to carry the complete Nike Sportswear NSW collection as well as seasonal Japan-only merchandises.

A next phrase in its global launch campaign, Nike Sportswear is scheduled to open its newest flagship location at the heart of Harajuku district of Tokyo this Saturday, October 11th.  The new store will reside in an iconic contemporary structure on Cat Street of Harajuku.  Described as “stealth bomber-like building in folded black steel”, the building’s prism-like exterior with a myriad levels interior was created by architecture legend Tadao Ando (安藤忠雄), and served as the temporary flagship for hh style + Armani Casa project in 2006.  In it, Nike Sportswear Store Tokyo will offer exclusive products and services, such as the new Nike iD Studio.  It will also be the only location in Asia to carry the complete Nike Sportswear NSW collection as well as seasonal Japan-only merchandises.

In commemoration of this grand event, Nike arranged a evening long opening reception this Friday, October 10th, that will take place first at the store, then move to BELLESALLE Harajuku event space a block away.  Special guests and live performances by Seiko Ito & POMERANIANS, Latin Quarters, Dub Master X, and much more.

Hiroshi Fujiwara has paired two of his investments/brands together in this collaboration project between Head Porter Plus and fragment design. The collaboration project is being called HPP+FRGMT by HF and it looks to feature a number of accesories in the often used Black and White polka dot print only with fragment design branding. There is no word on when this will drop but we are guessing within the next few weeks and most likely only in Japan or via the hnyee.Store. via HF

Long time New Era collaborator, Dave’s Quality Meat, better known as DQM, has done it again with their newest New Era 59Fifty collaboration cap with New Era. This time DQM uses a new star pattern fabric in Black and Grey as well as Grey and Blue for the base of their cap and then add their signature “D” to the front of the cap with “DQM” on the back panel.
