Reebok celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the women’s footwear collections, the Freestyle, with “Then and Now…Freestyle Forever”. Freestyle is a women’s athletic shoe style that was introduced back in 1982. Though it was designed for the use of aerobic exercise, the shoe quickly became a fitness craze and spread to walking, bodybuilding, dancing and cheer-leading. Women also wore it outside the gym for casual wear. It is an iconic shoe in the 1980’s and to this day, it still released in a variety of colors, with many followers. Not only do women wear it, but I’ve also seen men wear these, I still remember seeing women pair these with skinny jeans, tights, leggings and leg warmers! And in the 90’s, girls that owned Freestyles had every colorway to match their polos.
